haha this is funny. I know someone who would be a Luon pant -such a pill.
So I got these Beechlu crops last spring/summer and loved them because they were so soft and such a pretty color (Aruba) but for some reason they started pilling really badly after the very first wash (no cotton, no towels and hang to dry etc. etc.) and then became rough and scratchy and really worn looking. Do you think that the Lux sweatshirt I got the other day will pill like this too considering it’s also Beechlu/Modal or is it a different blend?
How did your Lux wear and if you got these crops too last summer did they get trashed as well?

I ran into Metrotown today and made a stop in at the Lulu to try on the new clothes. Just as I was about to leave I hit jackpot. I found myself the Run: swiftly tank in potion purple which I had been on the look out for and although it is a muted version of the purple it looks really pretty with the Potion FLOW Y bra underneath it. Snagged that in a hurry. I usually use my Lagoon Run Swiftly Tech long sleeve in one size bigger cause I love the baggier look in this top and LOVE the feel of it but I had to make due with my size in the tank. I can even use the long sleeve in warm weather and it’s not too stifling.
I also spotted two new Classy Classic Gym bags, one very cute one in Potion Purple and one Potion and Savage Foxy print. I love that print but it looks better in the satin than it does in leather (or faux leather if that’s what the Classy is made of).
Tried on the new hooded Sunblocker and it is very nice on. Love the slowchy look to it and the hood with button down, but again this is not something I would wear running. First of all I’m not out running marathon distances (yet!) so sun exposure is taken care of with sunscreen (in an ideal version of myself). the hood would never be used and may flap around or drag if it’s a windy day. I don’t mind long sleeves in warm weather anymore as long as it’s a cool fabric. Pretty pricey too so it’s a no for me.
The Gather Dance Strap top was cute on but the bottom was puffier than the Bliss top so for those that don’t like the “maternity” look keep that in mind. I didn’t like the strappy part on the back for me because unfortunately during my year long nursing stage in life I get the ugly bra fat (which disappears a week or so after I stop nursing ) so this top highlights that on me. Love the bubble bottom on it but still I preferred the Bliss top on me overall.
I also saw the Halter Hoodie in Angel Blue as well as the Potion and didn’t even bother trying it on.
I wore my Bliss tank this weekend and I really, really love it. I had one day were I had second thoughts after taking off the tags because the straps were so long that the girls felt a little bit too free. I readjusted the straps to fit shorter and also added in some cups (suggested by someone I think on FB, not too sure who) and it really made such a huge difference. Much more structured top and still perfect for nursing. I didn’t find the bottom part too puffy at all for me.
I really miss wearing my favourite silk top by BCBG but I refuse to wear it with drooley little ones as I’ve had water stains on it before that I was very lucky to get of. So It’s nice to have a new top that is pretty like my BCBG one and silky but that I can get it dirty and all it needs is to be thrown into the wash. I was impressed to find out that the silky material on the bottom (tencel) is a version of luon. Looked pretty cute with my Seek the Peek crops and got compliments from the hubby and my sister.
I didn’t try this one on because I had two little crankies with me but it looks really cute on this girl and seem more forgiving in the waist than the other sunblocker top. Not sure about running with hoods though, not something I would ever pull up. Loved the button up neck part though because I always unzip my pullover halfway through my run and I wear just my sports bra under it so I get some good draft going to cool me down

I really liked this jacket as street wear with my jeans but I’m not sure this is something I would run in because hoods bother me when running. plus, if it’s rainy bare skin is much better than any fabric unless it’s cold in which case I would wear a long sleeved jacket. I haven’t ruled this one out yet for running, I’m just not in a rush. It is darn cute with jeans though.
