And some new Shots of Items

by Cristina November 2, 2010
written by Cristina

I’ll add pictures here as they come up.

Here you see which of the new Scubas have metal zippers and which do not. Teal Zeal and Fruity Tooty are metal and I believe plum is as well. Metal zippers are an issue for a lot of people as the catch your clothes and tear them to shreds so I’m not sure why some scubas have them and some don’t.

I really love this Lilac Scuba.

Hello mystery long sleeve top in what looks like Very Violet..

Could this be a Dash LS in Very Violet with a tee shirt worn over it in disguise? it’s not Brisk Arm Warmers because there are no reflective strips.  Mystery solved. This top is a one piece top from 4 or so years ago that is made to look like a layered tee and LS. Boo. Well, now I’m dreaming of a Dash LS in Very Violet.

New Cool Racerback Colors

Lilac, Wish, Haze/Coal, Static Very Violet/Very Violet, Static Wish, Teal Zeal.

Why oh why didn’t I just grab that Very Violet. It’s haunting me now.

Candlelight tank. I like the dark grey better because it doesn’t have the Ombre stripe down the side. Now that I see it in more pictures I really like the way the straps in the back space out so much at the bottom and then narrow in towards the upper back.

Teal Zeal Scuba (metal zippers again?)

This educator is adorable and really nice. But I’m just so not a fan of Poncho Multi Stripe or Persimmons. I’m sorry if you love it but there is just something about those two that I hate. It looks nice on her. It’s not that it’s not flattering it’s just one of those colors/prints you either love or despise. I look forward to your letters.

and this educator looks fab in this outfit. But Persimmons, Tang Light and Lagoon are colors I detest. Poopoo!

See what I mean about Very Violet combined with Black? Looks pretty awesome that way. I think a Very Violet Stride with Black contrast symbol would have been nicer than the Static Grey.

I just noticed in a picture from today another Ivy Varsity Run Shirt.

Fast In Flight Bag – felted wooly fabric

Coal Pique Wunder Unders. I quite like these a lot..wishlisted.

Candlelight Tank – Cute, not so sure about the Ombre.

Very Violet CRB. Such a flattering color on. I was pleasantly surprised by this tank in how flattering the color is and also the feel of the static.

Persimmons Define. I’m pretty sure I also saw a solid Persimmons Define with the solid Very Violet one.   Persimmons is not a color that I gravitate towards.

And some new Wunder Unders. Ok, they are very cute in a way…but I can’t wear these prints on bottoms. Not many can. There fun but just really obvious and I like wearing more conspicuous bottoms. Of these I like the Static Wish the best, they almost look like denim.

Live simply Pants. Cute!

And cute brimmed beanie. I seem to remember these being in the $29-$35 range which is about what I would spend on a hat. I didn’t see it in store today otherwise I would have brought one home with me.

Try On Report: Candle Light Tank, Stand Strong Tank and Power Y

by Cristina November 2, 2010
written by Cristina

My day started well. It started like this..

Christmas at Starbucks

And then a product notification for new tanks. Hmmm, promising start to the day.

Candlelight TankCandlelight TankAlternate View

Description
  • Strappy, open back tank designed for yin and hatha class
  • Made with certified organic cotton fibre and LYCRA® fibre blend that provides natural softness, breathability and stretch for shape retention
  • Moderate support and coverage
  • Body hugging fit and long length
  • Straps cross in the back for full range of movement
  • Mesh bra construction with built-in pockets for removable cups
  • Preshrunk

And then my toddler discovered how to unbuckle herself from the stroller and escape making trying on clothes almost impossible.

The Candlelight Tank (size 8). I liked it because it was super soft. Much softer then the Organic Cotton of the Gathered Racerbacks or any other Organic Cotton Lycra blend I’ve felt from Lulu. Very, very soft tank is what I’m saying. I’m undecided if I like this tank enough to buy though. The Ombre stripe on the side of the light grey one (dark grey one is all solid) was interesting but maybe not so flattering. The straps in the back were pretty and very similar to the Free to be Bra. Slightly complicated getting this on, but then again I was getting flustered by a loose toddler opening dressing room doors. Mesh bra – I like just wearing my own bra so this was a slight turn off. that being said, with the pretty back detailing you need the built in bra. The fit was a lot like the Power Y but slightly more forgiving around the torso.

The Stand Strong Tank (size 8). I like this tank except for the fact that it’s short and not as a-line as other tanks. I like my tanks to be nice and long and this one felt much shorter then I like. It’s quite a comfortable with supportive straps and simple yet flattering design. I think the back seam detailing may bug you a bit if you’re on your back doing mat work but it’s not irritating at all just moving around upright. This one is Haze but they also had Black, Wish and Very Violet.

Power Y (size 8). Just to see if I liked the color on and I do. a lot. I wish the Static Wish CRB was more like this Static Wish Power Y as I find the CRB’s much more versatile to wear and there cheaper. I don’t think I would wear a Power Y all that often as I have a Fox one that I don’t wear very often. I tried on the Very Violet CRB on as well and I love that color on me. It’s fantastic. So that may be something I snatch up on upload on Thursday as it’s just easier for me to online shop now. as you can see from the photo above.

Some New Items: Brimmed Toque, Very Violet CRB & Wish Express Yourself Wrap

by Cristina November 2, 2010
written by Cristina

I’m liking the brimmed toque in black.

CRB Very Violet. Initially I didn’t like this one because of the double side colors but two things are making me reconsider. I really like the feel of this CRB compared to the others. It feels a lot like the Lilac Inspire Pullover in it’s thinness and it’s not quite as static as some of the other colors that have come out. I like that on the back where it’s solid Very Violet it’s edged in static Very Violet so there is a good visual transition between the two textures. Ok a third reason is because I got the Very Violet Brisk Ear Warmers that are trimmed in black and I love that combination. The color looks fantastic on brunettes so I think I need something that I can wear with because other then black and greys I’m not finding too much in my closet that matches it. The Teal Zeal looks ‘good’ with it but sort of skiddles-ish (as my friend likes to say) so although they look pretty next to each other in the closet I don’t think I can pull of wearing them together out.

The Express Yourself Wrap in Wish Blue is so lovely but I’m really unsure on the shape of this wrap on me so I need to try it on today. I also don’t love the Cashmere Rayon blend. It’s plenty soft but I’m just not gentle enough with my cardigans and I’m sure I would get major pilling on this. I have a few silk cashmere cardigans that I’ve worn to bed during the winter so that should give you an indication of how much I ‘love’ my clothes.

Peace Of Mind Jacket

by Cristina November 2, 2010
written by Cristina

Now that I see the jacket modelled, this is what the size 8 looked like on me and I felt it was sort of too small to wear much under it. I had on my Inspire Pullover and felt constricted so my preference is to go one size up. I’ll try the 10 on today and let you know how that one fits. The length was the same as the POM vest and the entire inside was Senorita Pink (now I’m wondering if that was actually Fruity Tooty). It has the Satin finish of the Daze Peace of Mind vest and this is DWR and 750 Fill for $228.

Really great hood on this jacket. Looks nice and has great coverage.

I like the middle stretch panel in the back. My Huff vest has that and it makes for good movement.

Some New Items: Express Yourself Wrap, Stand Strong Tank + More

by Cristina November 1, 2010
written by Cristina

I love this Wish Blue Express Yourself Wrap with the Static Wish CRB underneath. I haven’t loved the Express Yourself Wrap enough before to be tempted by it but I am in Wish.

More pictures of the Stand Strong Tank in Wish Blue. I plan on trying this on tomorrow. Very cute in Very Violet (pictured in earlier post).

Static Charcoal/Very Violet Stride. I wish the colors were reversed on this so that the Very Violet was the main color. Or a solid Very Violet would have been nice.

And a detail shot of Wish/MOPS Stride

And here is a shot of Persimmons Cool Racerback. It’s quite a peachy orange.

Newest Items: POM Jacket, Express Yourself Wraps, CRB’s & Power Y’s, Strides and More

by Cristina November 1, 2010
written by Cristina

Lots of new items in store today and sadly I couldn’t gather everything up for you today but here are the most notable items. bear with me as I add to the post.  I was tempted by the Power Y only for the color but put it back and decided to be patient. I ended up getting a Very Violet Brisk Ear Warmer. I’m kind of neutral towards very violet except for when it’s trimmed in black and then I love it. I love the ear warmers as headbands as it holds everything back without kinking or giving me headband hair and it looks really nice on when you have very, very thick wavy hair. Most headbands have trouble standing up to my mop.  Not pictured here are static Wunder Under pants in Static Plum. I think you have to be brave to wear those.

Express Yourself Wraps in Wish & Plum. Very Yum!

Peace Of Mind Jacket *Satin Finish (Daze) $228Not a bad price for a 750 Fill jacket. The size 8 was too small on me but I could tell that the jacket was not at all michelin man like on me so I will wish list it for now.

Cute pocket detail on the upper shoulders.

Stride in Static Charcoal and Very Violet. Also spotted the Wish and Poncho Stripe one. Cute enough but not my cup of coffee.

Stand Strong Tank in Very Violet. Comes in Wish and Haze as well. Not gross grain ribbon detailing as I thought but interesting seam detailsnot sure how comfortable it will be on your back for mat work -$52

Also spotted a Solid Define in Very Violet.

Cool Racerback in Static Wish (front and back). Didn’t love the feel of this so I put it back. I also spotted the Very Violet CRB which was solid Very Violet in the back (not my favourite idea). That one had a nicer feel to it (thinner?) but sadly it was suffering identity crisis. I wish this CRB was more like the Power Y pictured below.

Power Y in matte Static Wish with Wish Straps. Very, very tempted by this and wish the Cool Racerback came in a matte Static Wish with piping in solid wish.

Persimmons Cool Racerback. Also saw a solid Define in Persimmons and headbands. Don’t care for this color for me. I saw a Static Charcoal Define with the Persimmons details on it.

Do You Recognize this Tank..

by Cristina November 1, 2010
written by Cristina

or is this new? This is in a Halloween album and it piqued my interest because it appears to be Teal Zeal and it’s quite simple yet feminine like the Ariel Tank Pictured below which I quite liked.

Stand Strong Tank

by Cristina October 30, 2010
written by Cristina

This is a new tank in Haze (or Lilac?) and Wish which is such a lovely color. To me it looks like this is a simplified version of the Centred Pose Tank. Are those Grossgrain ribbon details on the front? I like that it’s not so busy. I almost think this is luxtreme based on the slight sheen where it’s bunching around her middle.

This tank is in fact Power Luxtreme!
