OOTD: Run In The Rain, Post Run: And It’s That Time Of Year Again…

by Cristina April 11, 2012
written by Cristina

It’s a rainy 12*c here and I really wanted to head of for a run today with my new runners (New Balance  WT20) so I opted to take the kids with the running stroller for their first ‘in the rain’ run. It was about 4 miles today and a 2 mile trail run thru a heavily wooded area which the kids really liked. I normally am too scared to run thru the woods near my house but it was raining quite heavily and the little one refuses to have the rain cover on so I detoured into the woods where there is really good tree coverage. I gotta say, I really love these runners. I can definitely feel my calves working and my ankles have to work harder to keep from rolling but it feels really neat to be able to actually feel your feet engaged in the run.

I wore my Deep Indigo Ebb and Flow Crops and my Wee Are From Space March Multi CRB and took my Power Purple Hustle Jacket with me but that ended up just being used to cover the kids.

The little one has a real attitude as you can tell. I really love that about her.

Ended up at Starbucks for a little juice and cookie treat for the kids and a latte for moi

And to throw on over my tank while at Starbucks and running errands…since it’s that time of year again, my Canucks tee.

Sneak Peek From Down Unda: Heathered Menthol CRB

by Cristina April 11, 2012
written by Cristina

Thanks to ‘Miss M’ in Australia for sending us this picture of the new Heathered Menthol Cool Racerback Tank. Our last sneak peek, the Jacquard Mesh CRB was spotted in Australia on March 12 and then finally available in Canada and the US yesterday so it looks like they have items a month ahead of us. Boo that this one is heathered. I like *some* cool racerbacks heathered but I’m getting tired of all of them being that way. How bout you guys?

It’s A Cinch Dress in Concord Grape Jacquard Mesh

by Cristina April 11, 2012
written by Cristina

I really love the It’s A Cinch in this color and with the Jacquard Mesh but I couldn’t pull the trigger at $88 for what I’d only wear as a tank/tunic. It’s just too sheer and scandalous to wear it as a dress with now layers on underneath. If this goes on markdown I’d definitely reconsider it and wear it over my Ebb and Flows. Why couldn’t they have made a Jacquard Mesh CRB in this color?

Cool Racerback Jacquard Mesh

Really liking it! This is the first real life picture we’ve seen of this one modelled and I’ve been wondering about the fit.

Special Edition Swiftly Tech LS with the Jacquard Print

 Chaturanga Tank and Excel Crops

Chaturanga Tank and Centered Energy Bra

I didn’t like the high contrast Concord version of this tank based on the website pictures but now that I see that the contrasting areas are Jacquard Mesh I really like it.

 Centered Energy Bra

 With the Drishti Pants

 Fun In The Sun Shorts

The jury is still out for me on the pocket placement. It’s certainly weird, especially with the ruching detail at the pocket…but maybe it works for certain shapes?

I love the length versatility s

Meditation Pullover with the Free Fall Crops in Concord

I’ve tried this pullover on a dozen times since the weekend and really like it. I’m glad I sized down in it.

Post Power Crop

I’m not digging these

Poise Pant

Lots of pictures of the Power Class Tee

It has little snaps/ribbon to keep your shirt attached to your bra but I believe that only works with standard strapped bras and not this Centered Energy Bra or other racerback bras. You can see several pictures of the sleeves slipping off the shoulders with those bras.

My favorite combo! I love these two purples together (older Dewberry with Concord).

Power Class Tee with Drishti Pant

Can I say it? I’m not a fan of these pants. I can appreciate gaucho pants but something about the cut of these is not doing it for me. I think it’s the wideness from the top down. If they had been narrower in the hip and upper thigh I think they would have been much more flattering. Also, tencil wrinkles like crazy and shows sweat marks really, really dark.

Power Class Tee layered over Chaturanga Tank

 Dhanurasana Crop in Flash

If the Flash Wunder Unders were too sheer for you, I believe these are made of thicker denim luon so they will be much more forgiving.

Upload!

by Cristina April 10, 2012

Kind of a bummer upload. No April Wee Stripe CRB uploaded and no new Ebb and Flow Crops. I ordered the Jacquard Mesh CRB to check it out but I’m not sure I love it in any of the colors. I also am not sure how I’d wear it considering it’s sheer and would need a coordinating bra.  Concord Cinch dress is pretty but $88 is not what I’d spend on something that would essentially be worn like the Every Yogi Tank. Love the Dance Studio Crops in Concord but I just don’t know that I’d wear them. What did you guys order tonight? were you bummed out like me about no April Wee Stripe CRB?

OOTD: New Balance WT20

by Cristina April 10, 2012
written by Cristina

Just a short 1 mile run today to test out my new barefoot running shoes, the New Balance WT20. I’ll post a review at the end of this week on the running shoes but so far so good. I really like them a lot and was surprised at how correct the suggestions are to ease into running in them. Walking around in them was super comfortable but running felt odd. I’ll be sore tomorrow I’m sure. The Daily Tank was quite perfect for the run. I’d love it if the shoulder straps weren’t quite as wide but the straps didn’t slip off and it was really nice having the back so open. The print just keeps looking prettier and prettier to me.

Fun In The Sun Shorts with SE Swiftly Tech Racerback

by Cristina April 10, 2012
written by Cristina

I’m debating going with a SE Swiftly Tech Racerback instead of the long sleeve. I LOVE the long sleeve but it wont get worn until next year I think. Or maybe the occasional cold and rainy day. I’m also liking the Fun In The Sun shorts but the colors aren’t compelling me. The white is nice but it’s see thru so I’m hoping it comes out in something colorful. 2010’s Do It All Shorts were out in Passion so you never know.

Run: In The Sun Crops and Play In The Sun Shorts

by Cristina April 9, 2012
written by Cristina

I’m not loving the back view on these crops due to the seams and placement of the circle mesh panels. It gives and odd ‘baboon butt’ look on curvier people like myself. I’m also not a fan of that pocket on the hip. Anything of weight or GU packets with sharp edges will do a number on that material. Top picture is the Black/April Wee Are From Space Dye and the others are Concord Grape/Rose Quartz.

Play In The Sun Shorts. These look cuter on then I expected them to look. I’ll definitely consider them.
