I believe this will be the 4th flash Define Jacket in the past few months. I think there was Solid Flash, Heathered Flash, Flash and Dune Wee Stripe and now Flash Light. I know Flash is a good seller and people really love it but it’s so boring to have so, so many items in this color in different incarnations and it makes it much less special from a resale standpoint (I think..). It would have been nice to see a Menthol Define Jacket or a May Wee Are From Space Define Jacket instead of so many in this one color.

Specialized Lululemon Cycling Kit
I forgot to mention when I was in Portland last week there were several little cycling shops in the area we were staying in and one store had a display up in their window with a Specialized Lululemon promotional poster. I wonder if the kit will be sold by other retailers.
Speed Shorts, Seaside Dot Print
Cute with the flash detailing on it.
Pacesetter Skirt, Seaside Dot Print
This one comes in Tall and Regular length
Turbo Shorts, Black/Seaside Dot Print with Flash Light Power Y
This product alert came from a US store this morning. The color code is ‘DMEP’ which I believe is Discover Manifesto Embossed Pow Pink.
Seaside Dot Speed Shorts, Seaside Dot Pacesetter Skirt, Run: Fast and Free Crops in Bruised Berry
I’m really liking the Speed Shorts here. Too bad there is no Ray detailing on it.
This is a cool outfit. I would have really liked the tee with the pretty sleeve detail had it been all one lenght, preferably the longer length.
I’ve heard whispers for the past few weeks that Pow Pink will be coming soon and finally a sneak peek has been spotted. Thanks to Erin for catching this picture on the website (under the black Define Jacket) the model seems to be wearing Pow Pink Wunder Unders. Pow Pink CRB’s have been listed on ebay for a whopping $200 so that tells you how popular this color is. I have a bit of trepidation though with the bright pink dyes that lululemon has been putting out lately – hopefully the dye quality will be brought back to standard.
I loved the Daily Tank that came out in this colorway but the Vitasea Light is too thin for me so I’m excited that there is a luon version in this colorway. I’m pretty sure it’s luon but I’ll see if I can confirm the fabric. This combination of colors reminds me of 2009 static charcoal and faded zap items (I think that was the color combo of some 2009 items..), maybe thats why I’m drawn to it.
Fit Review: Diversity Tank, Enlightenment Pullover and Length Comparison Power Y
I’m fiddling with a new iPad blogger ap so excuse the formatting of this post.
I tried on the Enlightenment Pullover today because I love the knit fabric in this color but this top is horrendous. The fit is horrible and is super tight on my arms and especially in the arm openings, also the openings between the arms are way too far apart and wide so you get this pulling feeling in the armpits. Couldn’t work this one even if I loved the style. The style itself was really bad too, just way too much fabric that looked like a toga and it can’t even be tied. If you have a pear shape this will not work for you. If you love the style stick to your tts or size up.
This tank was a cute idea and I love the colors but if you are like me and have areas that need coverage the combination of vitasea light and a fitted style is not the best. It’s quite thin and delicate so be carefull taking this off. I would have preferred this in regular weight vitasea and also with a finished hem option and the gimmicky “hem your length” an option for the brave reckless. Leave the longer length with a hemmed edge that can be cut off shorter
the new Power Y on the left with the longer length. I find the new ones to be TTS where as the older version were more a size up if you weren’t comfortable with the length. The design is still “fitted” compared to the cool Racerback so I do not suggest sizing down at all, you will just find this new version more accurately sized and longer in length.

This is week 3 for me of disappointment in the Lululemon designs uploaded but I always like the Fall/Winter items much better anyways and luckily June is the beginning of the Fall items. I find I always stray from lulu over the summer (with the exception of good Cool Racerback Tanks) and get other items such as shoes, jeans, casual dressy items that still fit my lifestyle. This past week I had some great shopping finds in Portland where I discovered the magical Nordstrom Rack and Saks Off Fifth and got myself some ridiculously cheep J Brand Jeans and a couple of Anthropologie tops and a really cute Zella hooded tee in ‘Power Purple’. I urge you guys to not settle for simply ‘ok’ designs from Lululemon and sub par quality and branch out a bit when the styles get stale (6 months of flash!!! 10 items in tencil silk jersey!!! Harem pants x 12!!!!! No thin summer weight hoodies AT ALL! Where is the Cotton??). Seems silly to suggest that but when you love a brand it’s easy to get caught up in getting items just because there is nothing else exciting. Pool that money and get something you wouldn’t normally splurge on.
Anyways, thats my philosophy in light of all the feelings of disappointment I’m reading on the various Lululemon forums over these past few weeks. Trust me, I’m feeling the disappointment too but I’m using it as an opportunity to find something else that excites me and I’m saving my lulu bucks strictly for items that are special and made well and fit a need.
