Throw Me Over Hoodie and Rejuvenate Sweatpants in Fresh Teal

Man that is a short hoodie.

New! Burnout Tank

Nope!!

Forme Jacket in Pinkelicious

So sad this isn’t a Define Jacket

Clari-Tee

I really dislike this tee and it’s weird contrasting but of all of them I think this Inkwell/White version is ok.

New! Transparent-See Jacket

Transparent-See Jacket Fresh Teal/Very Green

This is kind of cute, but I don’t think I can justify it. Back in 2010 Lululemon had a similar sheer windbreaker type jacket and it was quite overpriced at $120 (around that price, possibly more or less). It ended up going to markdown to $19 and I still didn’t pull the trigger on it. If this one gets significantly marked down I’ll probably get it, but not at full price, whatever that may be ($108).

Very Green Power Y is Made In Canada!

by Cristina April 3, 2013
written by Cristina

I just received my most gorgeous Very Green Power Y *Luon and the tag says ‘designed in Vancouver, made in Canada’. The luon is soft and supple and feels QUALITY! The blend is the same as ‘old luon’ which is 87% Nylon and 13% Spandex. I’m so glad my order was filled since this tank sold out within a few hours. I went with the same size as my older Power Y from 2011 (Elevation Space Dye), size 10 which is up from my current Cool Racerback preferred size. This was the right call since I find the Power Y in my TTS (at least the old version) to fit narrower than CRB’s and snugger so I prefer a slightly looser fit. I found the Very Green Power Y to be slightly wider than my Elevation Space Dye Power Y and slightly longer. I’m so happy that I snagged this as the color and quality are gorgeous. I’m just sad there wont also be a Cool Racerback in Very Green. Knowing that the Power Y *Luon is of the old superior quality and made in Canada, I will definitely be buying more. I’m sad I hesitated on the Bordeaux Drama one.

*after trying it on again, Very Green is definitely looser in the bust. Not problematic though.

Lululemon Chief Product Officer Departs, Luon Product Update

by Cristina April 3, 2013
written by Cristina

Lululemon announced this afternoon that Sheree Waterson has been removed as Chief Product Officer, effective April 15, 2013, right on the heels of the Luon recall in March. I’m a bit surprised that Sheree Waterson was eliminated as she has 25 years of experience in the consumer and retail industry. What I expected as a solution was that the captain of the ship who has proven herself to have zero experience in the garment industry would step down. Whatever the change, I hope this is a sign of drastic return back to the quality and sophisticated designs and materials that lululemon used to be (before their nose dive in quality).  What are your thoughts on this ‘organizational change‘ announcement?

Another press release today, Lululemon Announces Luon Product Update, was a little vague and lacking in any clarity as to what went wrong with luon. It also fails to acknowledge any change in luon recipe when we KNOW that luon is not always Nylon Lycra (87% Nylon and 13% Lycra to be exact). It has varied from perfect luon which was thick Nylon Lycra, to blends with polyester, to up to 98% polyester which is not at all Luon to my mind. The name luon is simply a loose marketing name and does not indicate a specific blend of fabric. I wish they would rename their polyester based fabrics as something other than luon because it’s baffling when you ask an employee why two different tanks labelled luon feel completely different and they try to tell you the recipe is identical between the two as it always has been (despite the fabric content label telling me otherwise). Hmmmmmmmm. Did you find this press release at all informative?

Upload!

by Cristina April 2, 2013
written by Cristina

How annoying!!! I stayed up till 11:15 PST and no upload so I have no idea what time the upload happened. Anyone know? I just ordered the Very Green Power Y (old version) but I think I would have liked it better in the luon light version which is longer. I don’t have much hope there will be a Very Green CRB so I got the Power Y just in case. Was tempted by the Bordeaux Drama Power  Y too but I really need to try one on first. So many Throw Me Over Hoodie colors uploaded. What a shame because it has such terrible reviews and since it hasn’t been seen in stores at all so no try ons. I don’t think those will sell well despite how pretty the colors are. Had those colors come out in the Rejuvenate Pullover I would have definitely gotten Vintage Sports Grey.

Did you guys order anything? any idea what time the upload happened?

New! Lululeather

Lululemon April Fools!! OMG this is too funny. The funniest part though is that it’s 100% non-sheer (you know, as apposed to their 95% sheer, or their other 45% opaque luon variety).
