Fall Refresh: lululemon On The Move Capsule

by Cristina

I love the new lululemon On The Move Pant selections that launched this past August. The City Sleek 5 Pocket 7/8 Pant, the Here To There High Rise Pant and the Keep Moving 7/8 Pant which I will be trying out very soon. In this post I’m wearing the City Sleek 5 Pocket Pant and the Here to There High Rise Pant while hanging out at the park on my daily afternoon walk. It just so happened that my kids had a field trip at this park so I had plenty of time to walk around the park, sit and read and eat my lunch while I waited to drive them back to school. .

I’ve always loved lululemon dress pants and have quite the collection of different styles in my closet from over the years. They are really the unsung heros in our world of leggings and joggers. They integrate so well into any closet, wether it’s sporty casual, dressy, or part of your workwear. My most prized lululemon items are the ones that move seamlessly from one end of my closet to the other, pair well with every shoe type, and every outerwear type and are really seasonless.

That’s why I was so excited to partner up again with lululemon for this post and try on some new styles from their On The Move Pants collection. lululemon has very generously sponsored this post and provided me with some pieces for which I am so grateful. I mean, let’s be real, I would have purchased each and every one of these on my own at some point, they might just not have featured in a blog post.

These City Sleek 5 Pocket 7/8 Pants are on such heavy rotation in my closet that I have a backup pair. They are stretchy, wrinkle free and just about the perfect material for rainy days. They work great with any shoes, dressed up or dressed down, and pretty much any top. They are pretty much jeans, but better. I love the fit of these and can’t wait for more colors. I’d love a pair in dark olive. I get the 27″ length and I size up one size. The do fit snug in my regular size.

And when you faceplate in the mud, you don’t have to panic about mud or grass stains!

A proper rain coat is the most necessary piece of outerwear for Vancouver. You want it light, and layerable. Winter coats and thick rain jackets are miserable in the fall with our damp, muggy weather so I consider a classic trench to be a solid investment. Our rainy season begins before the temperature even drops, so anything that’s too insulating will have you sweating buckets.

The Always There Trench Coat has such a classic silhouette, but with modern and athletic touches. I love how feminine and flattering it is. It looks just as great tied up in the front, or left open with the belt tied at the back.

Some days you need the sleekness of legging with the dressiness of straight leg pants. I find these are the perfect pant to tuck into boots. Leggings work too but it’s a bit of an odd combination if you are wearing dressier boots. Especially if your top doesn’t come down low enough. I love these pants with an oversized silk blouse and either tall boots or heels. I also love wearing them casually with sneakers or flats.

Your outfits are really cute. Is the tote also from Lululemon?

Thank you! It is, it’s the On My Level Tote in an older color. It’s my favourite ‘pretty’ bag for when you need more of a big handbag look.
