The Anniversary Sale Canada is here for early access! Many of these items are available to shop on the Nordstrom US site right now (and the blue Balfern has been popping in and out of stock all day!). In light of the sale being a few days in, I’ll indicate below wether it’s a full stock item, or a stalk it till it pops-up item.

I’m really glad I went to visit the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Canada today. A lot of things I didn’t get to see Friday where available today.

The dressing room experience was so much better today. I’m sure it’s because the Seattle store was insanely hectic. On Friday and it was a 30 minute wait for a fitting room and they where very dimly lit. I had to run through the departments grabbing all the items I could before my name got called for the dressing room. Carryig the huge pile of clothes and beauty items for the 30 minutes was not a fun way to start the day. The Vancouer dressing room was so well lit and peaceful by comparison.

If you are Canadian and debating shopping the sale in the US vs. in Canada, I did some price comparisons for you. Prices are overall better here in Canada (excluding duties/taxes/shipping if you are shopping the US site). That’s not usually the case but this year the items I price compared (considering the conversion rate) our items where priced a bit lower. If you had a MUST Have item on your list, it was better to get in the US. The downside is that Canada only got about half the items that the US got. Our consolation prize is that we got three beautiful Smythe Blazers which where exclusive to Canada, but we did not get the Veronica Beard or L’Agence Blazers.

I love this jacket so much. Initially I really loved the Vince one below but this one tops it because of the color and because it’s even softer. This is a medium on me and it’s quite roomy. The price point is pretty high on this jacket but it’s a statement piece that works well for milder weather. Perfect for a Vancouver Fall/Winter, but probably not on a rainy day. I have to decide if I’m willing to return several items to purchase this jacket. For now it’s a piece that is really haunting me.

This is the jacket I fell in love with and ordered. The pink is by far the more popular seller, but I think the blue is much nicer. I had initially ordered the pink but it sold out on me and got cancelled. The blue jacket is on it’s way to me though so I’m really glad that order went through. I’ve been watching the inventory on this closely and the pink hasn’t popped back up at all, but the blue has. This morning I saw a size 6 come up.

This wrap reminds me so much of the good ol’ days of Lululemon. It looks like a combination of Gratitude Wrap and Savasana Wrap. So nice! This is a medium and it was tight in the arms so I needed a size up.

OK. This confuses me. I wasn’t enthused with this cardigan when I tried it on on Friday in the blue color. Today I loved it, though! I think the contrasting in the print creates more definition where as the blue (although I loved the color) looked really frumpy on me.

I especially did not like this sweater when I tried it on in the blue the other day but again, the leopard print looks much less frumpy on me. It’s a nice soft cozy knit the isn’t at all itchy.

Finally I got to try on the Vince sweaters!! Man I’m loving Vince this year so much. I loved all the sweaters I tried on today from Vince. Unfortunately Canada got a very small selection of Vince items and we only had the wraps and sweaters and maybe one or two more items. No silk blouses, no coat.

This cardigan is a wool and cashmere blend and it’s so luxurious. I loved the fit of this.

This cardigan was not wool or cashmere but a cotton blend for those of you that can’t do wool. It’s really soft and cozy and I love the shape of it, especially the sleeves. It’s oversized, but not frumpy or sloppy.

This Spice color is everywhere this year. If you are thinking about getting a Cashmere sweater I highly recommend this one. It’s beautiful and so lightweight.
