Another Great Color Combo

by Cristina July 30, 2010
written by Cristina

I can’t tell what color this is under the oatmeal “heathered clarity grey” Iconic Wrap but it looks almost like a teal blue..maybe it’s River Rock. The only reason I didn’t get the wrap in this color is because it’s trickier to match colors with it, but I’ve seen it look great with Alarm, and Wish and of course black and white.  So if these ever hit markdown I’m snatching up a second one in this color. Also, I hate, hate the idea of tying a knot in the fabric. I would hate how wrinkled and stretched it would get after and it doesn’t even look that good with the knot in it. If you had the knot in the back it would be really uncomfortable when sitting and leaning into a chair.

Trip to Coquitlam

by Cristina July 30, 2010

So I went in to grab my friends requested Hip Halter in Pig Pink (last in the city in the small sizes apparently) and I snatched it up for her on markdown. Hooray! I found it for $44. I also was thinking of grabbing a CRB online this morning in either Wish, Cool or Coal and I found the Cool on sale in my size. $32!!! Hip-Hip-Hooray!

Also, I was shopping around the mall and I found many stores that had items similar to Lulu’s recent Mindful Shorts and Move Me Crops. I tried on a pair of shorts at Jacob that had the poofy pleating around the belly just like the Move Me Crops and a pair of trouser shorts from Aritzia I loved the legs on these shorts because they were slightly bubbled and then cinched in around the knee’s in sort of a military style. I didn’t buy these though because I just didn’t like the poof around the lower belly area. They also had two styles of harem pants and I must say the Lulu Lab does this much better and with better fabrics for less money. How funny that a “sport apparel” store is ahead of the game as far as fashion.

The Hero Manifesto – Side By Side

by Cristina July 30, 2010
written by Cristina

I had a chance to look at these and an interesting thing to note about them (other than it being $98!!!) was that the hood portion is actually more substantial and lined with another thicker cotton material. This is good because a manifesto burnout material hood would probably be the first part to snag. Coincidentally, I saw a lady walking around outside with the white one on and her O’Neil board shorts and it looked not bad. It is much too hot today to be wearing a long sleeve though so she must have just bought it a few days ago and was too excited about it not to wait for milder weather to wear it.

Check out the picture a few posts down for the Black Hero Manifesto Hoodie. I think I’m liking the black better for layering.

Off to Lulu Today

by Cristina July 29, 2010
written by Cristina

Off to a Lulu store to pick up an item requested by a friend. I’m so glad I have an excuse to go. This message on the Masonville FB page seems promising though. Perhaps I may find something new that’s a perfect cool weather layering item… although that could mean the vest so I’m not holding my breath.

lululemon athletica Masonville (London) All you runners out there! We got fresh new gear this morning! Think reflective, think layers, think colours and styles! Come visit us:).

On another note, I got this tank on the exchange page last week and I can’t wait to get it. I love the print and have been on the hunt for it ever since I saw it on the lululemon website while trolling for secret sneak peeks. I was having just as much fun finding all of the old styles of lulu prints and was wondering if I would ever get the chance to snag this one. Low and behold it showed up on the exchange and I snatched it up for quite the bargain.

This Just In – Some Of The Things That Tempted Me

by Cristina July 29, 2010
written by Cristina

Tempted but I didn’t cave. Glad the wraps are now available to everyone because they are really such a pretty item. Poop on the price though. If they were cheaper I’d get 3 of them, all of them except the black. I wont buy black anymore because it fades miserably after about three washes (cotton items). I don’t find that my Luon items fade though.

This is a really secksi top and with the Oasis
and black it looks almost retro.
Really pretty and soft color combination.
Love the Lolo contrast on grey.
Tried this on the other day and loved it.
Super supportive for running.
I’m considering this one because it goes with my
Iconic Wrap and my wish blue Wunder Grooves
I have the coal but I love this color. If I had
some of the alarm tanks I would have gotten this.

Fast in Flight Bag

by Cristina July 29, 2010
written by Cristina

Coal and Manifesto print. This is the perfect bag for books, laptop, travel or day to day use. I love the satin bags so much, especially the Citron one but the Citron would get so dirty in about 30 seconds. Coal will go with everything and the manifesto print is really subtle on this.

“The price is $98, dimensions are approx. 18″ x 18″, tags says it has interior pocket that will hold a 15” laptop .nice striped interior … tested to hold up to 50 lbs.. also pockets for passport and boarding pass … hence the “flight” part of the name I guess ..” From Kate on Facebook. Thanks Kate!
