This is a good image of both sides of the Aruba/Grey Stripe Cabin LS Tee. I wish there was a solid Ruber Ducky version because I’m not crazy about the stripes as some readers have mentioned. But I would be very happy with a Live Simply Tee in Rubber Ducky or Heathered Rubber Ducky. The Cabin LS is not going to be my one Aruba item, I’m still on the look out and my latest Brisk Ear Warmers does not count.
Newest Items: Midnight Blue (nope, Raw Blue!) Studio Pants & Aruba Cabin LS
Studio Pants II Raw Blue Midnight Blue Raw Blue!! . Looks great with Rubber Ducky. This looks very similar to my Raw Blue Dance Studio pants but I think they may be a shade or two lighter Nope, just the lighting. I wonder why they would have come out with two colors so similar in the same pants. Because they didn’t actually.
**Correction: Thanks to a reader who called the Edmonton store these pictures are from we now know these are in fact Raw Blue Studio Pants. Oopsies!
Cabin LS Tee in Grey Aruba Stripe/Reverse to Aruba. I think I prefer the Rubber Ducky version I posted about below.
A reader posed this question on Lululemon Facebook Page and it’s such an interesting question. How much is too much Lululemon in your closet? How do you know when your collecting is going overboard?
It’s so funny that as I’m feeling inspired by this topic and writing it out Lulu Addict has just posted about the same topic 😉
1. You keep gallery pieces that your afraid to use. Everything I have I try to wear. If something feels too special to wear and wash or get dirty then I don’t want to keep it anymore. Too much attachment to ‘things’ makes me feel nervous and I like to break free.
2. I try to have purchases fill gaps in my closet. Granted, I have Lululemon running gear for every gradiation in temperature and most runners don’t need that much to be comfortable. I’ve recently decided to stop, STOP buying running pullovers as I don’t actually need anymore. If I’m too attached to what I have to sell in order to make room then I don’t buy it. I currently have 3 pullovers and I think that’s a good number. Especially since I run 3-4 days a week. Sometimes I fail and go overboard and then I feel guilt so I sell on the exchange and clear my conscious.
3.You feel yourself getting a bit greedy when something like a Gratitude Wrap, No Limit Tank or Spirit Pullover comes up. My friend and I are both coveting a Stitch Blue Gratitude Wrap. We’ve made a pact that if it comes available we will fight to the death if need be and winner takes all even though normally we are very careful not to step on each others toes. Deep down I know the Stitch blue will look far better on her but reason and logic go out the window if that Stitch Blue Gratitude wrap ever shows up.
4. I keep all of my ‘Why We Made This’ tags. I make sure my husband doesn’t ever find them. They look a little scary when there all together.
And in full disclosure I give you my top two OCD moments. I purchased the No Limit Tank last week because of the No Limit Hysteria even though I don’t particularly like the tank and it looked awful on me + it’s $70 and I wouldn’t be wearing it for another 5 months. I ended up returning it. Wait! that’s not all. I went to the mall yesterday and repurchased the very same tank on impulse to give it another shot, walked around the mall for 40 minutes and decided to return it again. WTF? What got into me?
And number two which I’m actually not all that ashamed about but it still counts as mildly OCD. The Plum Shale Hustle Jacket I was coveting after it sold out in stores and on line. A lovely reader offered to purchase me one from the US side and ship it to me which I gratefully accepted. I was getting so antsy to have a Hustle Jacket that when I tried on a Power Purple hustle in store to see if I would like the size 8 fit on me I had to bring home, just to see what I could layer underneath. Yah right. I ended up tearing the tags off of it a day later and taking it out for a run. I’m really not ashamed though because I although I love the Power Purple second best, It’s a great color for running as it’s pretty visible. My Plum Shale one is reserved for my everyday jacket.
Tell me, what are your Lulu hoarding confessions?
This is the newest Cabin LS Tee in Rubber Ducky Stripe. In person the yellow Rubber Ducky stripe is just a but brighter and more lemon. The reverse side is grey but I’m not sure what the colorway name is for this Cabin LS. This is a double lined long sleeve top that is fully reversible.
Run Swiftly Tech LS in Concord Grape. Lovely color but very similar to Lolo purple so if you have a Swiftly LS in Lolo I doubt you’ll want to get this one as well.
The Push Ur Limits Tank has now been updated with an adjustable bra! I’ve been meaning to try the Inner Strength Tank for this very feature but just didn’t really care for the look of that tank. I hate fighting with taking off my tanks after a run so this is an intriguing feature since you can just release the tension before taking it off. Also, I love LOVE Rubber Ducky yellow and was thinking I would like a new tank in this color so I will definitely be giving this Push Ur Limits a shot.
Purple Crush/Black, Rubber Ducky/Coal, Aruba
This is the newest Define Jacket in Light Grey Pique with white accents.
The In Stride in the far right almost looked like Daze to me but I now realize it’s the Light Grey Pique. I as see some new Cool Racerback tanks next to the Flush Coal Strata. The tanks closest to the In Stride looks like Coal Strata. I saw a Cabin LS today in Rubber Ducky Striped with Grey (similar to Coal Stata) and I would love a Cool Racerback in that print with Rubber Ducky.
Passion Crops. I haven’t tried these or ever seen them in person but I like the length of them a lot and also that the pants have a ribbed cuff at the bottom.
Well I braved the blizzard today to go Swiftly Tech LS shopping and I expected to not find what I was looking for considering it was not uploaded online today. Low and behold there it was along with Concord Grape Swiftly Tech LS which is also gorgeous but too close to my Lolo Short Sleeve Swiftly Tech to even tempt me. I snatched it up and didn’t even bother trying it on because I instantly fell in love with the Black in person because of how it looked and how it felt. I know it’s not technically really black but it’s much darker then any grey that has been out and also has black contrast stitching in it. Soooo pretty. I love it paired with my Chirp Cool Racerback shown below. I feel like the picture doesn’t quite do the color pairing justice since the yellow looks a bit washed out and not as vibrant as it is in person. Notice I’m also wearing the new Brisk Ear Warmer.
The first thing I noticed of the Sri Lanka made Swiftly LS vs the Israel made Swiftly is that if feels a lot more like the men’s Metal Vent Tech Tee’s only thinner. I always used to wonder why the men’s version felt so different from the women’s version. I noticed it felt thicker and softer and had more obvious ventilation perforations. The women’s version always struck me as less soft and like it had a bit of drag when worn under other items and also it was a lot thinner and tended to show more imperfections which made me size up. At times I’ve been tempted to purchase smaller sizes of the Mens Metal Vent Tech because of the softer feel of them and also because they always got prettier colors. The black one I purchased today in a size 8 (TTS) seems to be more forgiving of imperfect and my not so smooth areas around my midsection and I feel more comfortable wearing this one then the old ones. I’m not sure about the durability and functionality comparisons just yet but will make sure to post the next chance I get to wear my long sleeve swiftly. I’ve felt other Sri Lanken made swiftly’s before, such as the Lilac and this one feels different even from those.
As far as the difference in silver content (4% vs the old 8%) I’m disappointed mainly because it’s a decrease in value in an attempt to save on costs but as the consumer we are still paying the same price. This is par for the course with most retailers since the economy suffered and Lululemon is certainly not alone in this but that only makes the consumer more wary. Look at us, were all reading fabric content tags like never before. Wool and Cashmere have both had a huge decline in quality across the board and were seeing more and more polyester blends replacing other fabrics yet still paying the same prices. I look forward to the days when we can expect quality to accurately reflect the retail costs were paying, especially since were seeing retailers performing better then expected. That being said, I don’t really feel like I’ve purchased the Swiftly’s before because of the Silver Nylon properties but more because of the thin breathable and sweat wicking weave so unless this shirt under performs based on my previous expectations for a Swiftly Tech LS I’m not too concerned over the decrease in Silver Nylon and I wont be boycotting the Swiftly’s on principle. Instead I will make sure to feel the fabric before and make sure I’m satisfied with it before purchasing it since they seem to all differ from batch to batch.
(if my eyes look tired it’s because they are)
This was a super disappointing upload for me. I was looking forward to using my Pay Pal balance to get the Run Swiftly LS and In Stride Light Grey Pique and the new W Run Brisk Ear Warmers. I also expected to see much more uploaded today considering the huge product dump in stores this week. Where you disappointed with the upload too? perhaps we can convince Lulu to load up a few more items throughout the day for us if we pester them enough (in the comments section here, don’t actually call to pester them). It’s snowing here today and I have no desire to go out to the stores.
The Scuba Hoodie uploaded today is the newest Aruba one but it’s listed as Heathered Beachy Green Heathered Aruba so I’m not sure which one you would get if you ordered it. No No Limit Tanks for Canada yet. Are we outraged?
Scuba Hoodie ‘Heathered Beachy Green Heathered Aruba’
I posted my Upload Thursday Eve post earlier this morning but I thought I’d give you a refresher of what we’ve seen since Monday and may possibly see uploaded tomorrow. We haven’t seen any facebook or product notification images of the newest Resolution LS in Aruba and Heathered Very Violet or Scubas in Heathered Aruba yet but a fan did post to facebook her new Resolution LS in Aruba. I’m getting (hopefully) the Black Run Swiftly Tech LS and the In Stride in Light Grey Pique. Lulu Addict has posted a picture of a Purple Crush LS Swiftly with Grey sleeves and a pretty orange contrast raglan seam and I really like that one too but I think I prefer the Black. I plan on layering it over my Rubber Ducky Cool Racerback or possibly an Aruba Cool Racerback.
