Pretty Pink Define Jacket and Pigment Blue Tonka Striped In Stride Jacket

by Cristina September 12, 2012

This Pretty Pink Define would look great with the Bordeaux Drama Dance Studio Pants.

Love the Tonka Striped Pigment Blue. since I’m all about the Define Jacket lately I’m wishing for (or relieved that there isn’t one) a Define Jacket in this same color way.

Pigment Blue Tonka Stripe In Stride Jacket

This Pigment Blue Tonka Stripe In Stride Jacket was in store today along with the matching Power Y. Both where gorgeous. It’s soft but not super, super soft lie the Angel Blue Define. I’ve also heard rumors (via anon blog comments) that there may be one due out in Angel Blue. Not sure though since I haven’t seen anything about it myself.

The Latest + Sattva Fit Review Observations

by Cristina September 12, 2012
written by Cristina

I tried on the Sattva Pants today and felt quiet torn. at $108 the price point is just ridiculous for sweatpants that are so much more fragile and prone to snags and looking quite worn than say, the Tea Cozy Crops which where I think$78. If you are at all sensitive to wool like I am you will notice the ‘wooliness’ right away with a slight scratchyness. For me this was fine in the pants but would really annoy me in the pullover and hoodie.. The hoodie and pullover has quite a bit of tencil paneling on it which increases the profit margin for Lululemon. tencil is my least favorite fabric from Lululemon for several reasons but manly because it wears horribly. My sisters quickstep pants from last year where black and are now a really dull light grey with fuzziness all over with broken fibers and it is impossible to keep wrinkle free.

That being said, I liked the pants. They were really cozy and felt like my favorite wool socks only loose and drapey. At markdown I would consider them ($70 or less) but I still really dislike the needless use of tencil. Both Bordeaux and Black have a distressed denim look to the fabric which wasn’t apparent in many of the saturated product pictures I’ve seen of them online. These pictures are more accurate. The pants are low rise and I wish they where slightly higher but they are not a completely impossible rise on me in my TTS. Overall, to me these where nice but I like my Tea Cozy Crops A lot more which I can where bike riding and not worry about destroying them.

Imagine how this tencil panelling will look after a few washes, severely faded, the pleats not laying flat and wrinkles all over.

Sattva Pullover

Here is a pretty good shot of the Sattva Pullover where you can see the tencil on the side panels.

This detail shot of the texture of the Sattva pants kind of turned me off. It looked so saturated in all of the other pictures I’ve seen but here you can see a lot of texture in the color and the bordeaux drama looks denimy. I was also turned off by the disclaimer that says the fabric will get pulls on it. I don’t tolerate pulls on $108 sweat pants very well. It makes me a cranky customer.

Sattva Pants, Wholehearted Tank and More

Sattva Pants $108

Really loving the look of these Sattva pants but I’ve read that they are low rise and that likely won’t work for me. I’m intrigued though by the Merino wool blend and wonder if these would pass as technical and sweat wicking as well as temp regulating. I’ve often felt that Lululemon is lacking in the technical cotton like sweats that Nike and Under Armour has because I’m often tempted by some of their sweat wicking hoodies for Crossfit. Something soft and thin like this would be perfect for heavy weight training days. I’ve also read rumors of Bordeaux drama dance studio crops so perhaps those will be uploaded tonight too.

New items! sattva Items and Paddington jacket

by Cristina September 10, 2012
written by Cristina

This is a picture from my local store and at first all I noticed was the currant paddington jacket and Bordeaux serenity sweater but now I see the Bordeaux sattva pants On the right, possibly two black sattva sweaters (seems to have the same texture) and a Bordeaux sattva item next to the paddington. The material seems to be the same on all four items.
