Nothing for me to night. I’m mildly interested in the Slope Striped Clarity Yellow CRB and the Devotion Tee LS but I just don’t care for the contrasted elbow on the Devotion – need to see them in person. I would have loved the Devotion Tee SS in the blue but I hate the color blocking, so they are annoying me. Big time. Also, Dog Runner Pants (like last year) are back. Thank God because Run With Rover Pants where a poor substitute. I find them way too warm for Vancouver winters so as much as I like them I wont be getting a pair.

Sneak Peek From Down Unda: Sea Wheeze Items

by Cristina November 6, 2012
written by Cristina

Very strange. An Australian store just posted these Sea Wheeze items (the very same items with the same special edition logo as the Sea Wheeze expo). I wonder if these will be uploaded or available in stores in North America.

A great picture a Lululemon fan has posted of some of her tanks with varying degrees of stitching quality from good quality oldest to bad quality newest. These are all bottom hems.

Lululemon Blog Sneak Peek At New Gear

by Cristina November 5, 2012
written by Cristina

The Lululemon Blog posted another sneak peek this weekend of the new cold weather running gear, including a down mini skirt. Included are the Run: Ice Queen LS, Run: Roasty Toasty Tech Pullover, Run: Hot Cheeks Skirt.

I notice they are still misrepresenting the down fill in the Run: Turn Around Jacket as being 800 Fill when they have admitted a few weeks ago that the tags are incorrect and the jacket is 650 Fill. This is a significant error, I wish they’d correct it already.

New!! Roasty Toasty Tech Pullover, Ice Queen Pants, Ice Queen LS, Run: Bundle Up Jacket in Limitless Blue

by Cristina November 4, 2012
written by Cristina

The lovely ‘Ms. Q’ stopped in at her local store today for us since her store is first to release the newest items on Fridays and Saturdays (everyone else gets to see these items on Monday night uploads – Ms. Q should get a gift card thrown her way!). We very much appreciate getting a peek at the latest.

Run: Bundle Up Jacket

I believe this one is solid Limitless Blue, although it could be Alberta Lake. I’ll clarify and get back to you.

Roast Toasty Tech Love Red $128 with the Runder Unders

This pullover is tech fleece and has a what looks like a subtle diamond print

Roasty Toasty Tech $128, Ice Queen Pants (Brushed Power Luxtreme) $108

Ice Queen Pant with Ice Queen LS (RULU) $108

I think the Clarity Yellow version is cute but I’m really not sure about the elbow pads (Water Resistant!!?! weird, just weird) and the shoulder pads so they are not on my list. I also don’t like the curved apron hem

Ice Queen LS – $108

Black and Clarity Yellow (love this color all of a sudden)

Run: First Base Tank

Black, Clarity Yellow/Limitless Blue

Love Red and Raspberry Glow/Black Swan

New York City Marathon Controversy and Lululemon

by Cristina November 2, 2012
written by Cristina

**Update** The New York City Marathon has been officially cancelled

I want to take a minute to acknowledge this gesture that the educators at Lululemon Lincoln Square in New York have made in response to the very controversial decision to continue the New York City Marathon as planned despite the devastation from hurricane Sandy on the citizens of New York. This was the first that ESPN was going to publicize the marathon on TV in several years so there is a lot of sponsorship pressure to continue on the marathon. After the hurricane and devastation, the media attention on this event is also much, much greater. So many petition groups have sprung forward because the majority of people affected that do not have a corporate interest in the money generated by this event are really angry that resources are being used to pull this event off. People in the city are without water, yet this event surely will have pure water for runners to drink. Hospitals are running of generators…yet this event currently has tents already set up that are being powered by generators. Buses will be picking up runners to take them to the starting line (in a hurricane ravaged area), yet ambulances are running low on gas.  I know some of you have trained for a very long time for this event and its really unfortunate to have to miss out, its sad, but it certainly is not a devastation to your life.

All this to say, I’m so very proud that an athletic apparel company that could very well have decided to pursue marketing based cheer stations and race events are deciding not to do that out of respect for the people that are deeply affected.

New! Take Me With You Tote

by Cristina November 2, 2012
written by Cristina

Thanks to reader ‘E’ for sending in this snapshot of a new bag she saw in a magazine (Entertainment Magazine). It’s the Take Me With You Tote priced at $178!!!!!!!! and instead of a running shoe pouch it comes with a small sock pouch. It looks like the bag is Limitless Blue on the bottom, and a newer print which we will be seeing in other items shortly.

Another inside tip is that corporate has started to push back on quality returns so be prepared for that with the new color Raspberry Glow. Items in that color are being sent out with a lovely little warning postcard (pictured below) instructing on how to wash. Even though Christine Day has said on the last earnings call that the problem with Paris Pink (and other colors) was not lack of proper laundering or ph of our sweat but the fact that they knowingly pushed color boundaries and pushed neon colors that they knew would probably leach, and they knew they were not fixing the dyes adequately. I will continue to publish quality issues that come up without hesitation and will be sure to inform you of all reported issues.

Daily Yoga Jacket

Finally a first look at the Daily Yoga Jacket. I haven’t decided wether I like it or not, but I also know I’m not much interested in it so far. Maybe in a fun color I’d feel different.
