The new Glacier Vest debuted at the Lululemon 2013 Warehouse Sale in Vancouver this weekend in Black, White and Burning Yellow. Regular price is $158 but it was priced at $69 at the sale. Already I’ve seen several girls at the mall wearing the white and black version of this vest. I’m assuming we will see this uploaded on Monday night for the full price. The inside of this vest is lined in a furry almost sherpa fleece but it’s not as plush as the fleece on the Off The Mat Jacket or the Don’t Hurry Be Happy. It’s high pile but thinner knit fleece if that makes sense, so not as bulky.  I considered getting one but the Glyde material looked really shiny in the black and white, much the same as the black Uba Hoodie Lux. I wear a vest often to Crossfit but since I have one I use (Peace Of Mind Vest) and I love it, I don’t need a second. There was also another new jacket at the warehouse sale called the Right Round Jacket, made to match the Right Round Pant, and it was pretty hideous. I know the retro track pant style looks great on a lot of you, but to me and on me it looked like old grandpa track pants. Well, the jacket is much the same with a long straight trench style fit with the stylings of a track Jacket. Same colors, color blocked stripes and material. Blech. Original price for that one is $148 -sale price was $69. I hated it, but someone is going to rock the hell out of it, I’m just not cute enough to make it work.

Detail of the fabric on the Cabin LS. Its got mild wash wear on the Heathered Pig Pink side as heathered fabrics tend to texture slightly with wash. Its still very soft, just has the texture of having been washed. The inside silver spoon side has no wash wear and is super soft. No stains, defects or anything of note. 

Are you planning on going to the Lululemon Warehouse Sale 2013 Vancouver tomorrow or this weekend? I was lucky and got an invite late last night from a lovely reader for the pre sale event today held for employees and friends and family,  and I moved mountains to get babysitting for this evening in order to get you guys a bit of a scoop. Unfortunately, I’ve been gag ordered (as I’m ‘the media’ evidently) so I will not be sharing with you prices of specific items since I was there in a ‘shopper’ capacity and not as ‘media’. Don’t bother emailing me, I’m not gonna budge and break the inner circle of trust.  I WILL let you know though, that I purchased myself one pair of mitts and an Ivivva Jacket for my daughter…and sadly that was all I came home with hard as I tried. I really wanted a What The Fluff Pullover for myself at a lower than WMTM price, but there weren’t any in sizes 8, 10 or 12 at all. I did see them in other sizes though. Also, I had my eye out for Ebb and Flow Crops since I decided I wanted last seasons grey ones, but no such luck. Basically, there was huge volume of product but not huge selection. I think a lot of what was marked down for Boxing Week did not move so there where plenty of those items available. If you shopped boxing week, you know 95% of the products that are there, the other 5% are new items and they were not flying out the door. Not many of the basics, not much from the first half of the year, it was all mostly winter items. Oh, and swim wear.  Lots to keep the average very casual lululemon shopper happy but for those of us that hit the stores up frequently, and WMTM – we’ve already had access to those sale prices. Ebay is already saturated with those items. 

My strategy for the warehouse sale was to wear my Carry and Go Hoodie so that I could have my hands free.  Because of all the great zip pockets the Carry and Go has I could keep my cash and ID and cell phone at hand without having to carry my purse. I definitely recommend something like that or a light jacket that has zip pockets or a vest with zip pockets. Comfortable shoes you can slip in and out of are essential (uggs or faux uggs) and Wunder Unders! You will probably want to try stuff on over your pants rather than waiting in the dressing room lineups. Also, remember to take water with you and chapstic. I was quite parched and since it was on the field of the stadium and concession was closed I had to wait till I got home to get some water and by then my mouth felt like the Sahara. The prices are color coded and the Jumbotron has a legend on it.  I took transit home which was much cheaper than paying for parking so I definitely recommend that, although not if you plan on having a lot of bags to carry with you. The limit was 20 Lululemon items, and 20 Ivivva items which was not a problem for me.  

In the end, I’m really glad I was able to take this off my schedule for Saturday and that I get to go to Crossfit instead. I was really torn about wether I was going to go at all and miss Crossfit and working out with all my buddies, or chancing huge lineups and not knowing what the selection would be. 

This new Inkwell Uba Hoodie Lux has a different look to it than the previous ones I think. Now I’m reading that this one is called Uba Hoodie Softshell, and not Uba Hoodie Lux. It has more of a subtle matte finish rather than the glossy finish that the White and Black had so I think it’s because the Inkwell is softshell and the others must be Glyde. There is also a Love Red version with Polar Cream in the inside, and one that went straight to the outlet

This one has been seen in outlets, but not regular stores yet.

I managed to get to a store today and I found the newest Inkwell Gingham Wunder Unders I posted about earlier today, and they are really adorable. I’m just not sure they are very flattering on my more muscular legs as the print really accentuates curves and muscles. I need to think on them, but I’m really torn. They are also more prone to CT due to the darker seam, and the much less stretchy material – I didn’t feel comfortable posting pictures here without a long top on! It’s a luon blend of 49% Nylon, 43%Polyester and 8% Lycra Spandex. I got my usual size 10 (and have lost fair bit of weight since I last purchased WU’s) and the 10’s where pretty stiff coming on and compressive, not quite tight, but almost. They don’t seem see thru, but it’s hard to tell in indoor lighting at night. They feel quite different from regular luon because of the knit, they are thinner but opaque, and slightly rough (almost like Ebb and Flows but without the stretch) so although my other WU’s in size 10 are a bit looser, I’d not size down in these ones mostly due to the camel toe that would surely happen so definitely a snug TTS. Once on I was surprised to find they were a little itchy, and I could tell that once I sweat in them they will be even itchier. I don’t know, I need to try them on again tomorrow in day light and with a more open mind. I love how the print looks and how springy the print is. It will look so adorable with a cute pair of sandals and a tee…but not sure all the other nits I have with them are worth it. What a bummer!!! I was super excited about these ones. 

Not sure the color code but it’s inkwell and looks like a Gingham print. So cute!!
