Fit Review: Rejuvenate Hoodie Bleached Coral and Mellow Lemon

by Cristina February 21, 2013

I stopped in at my store in hopes of seeing the Rejuvenate Hoodie in at least black to try on for fit, but was really lucky and they had two colors I liked in, ahead of the upload. I didn’t intend to get two of these today but I was really surprised at how much I loved the Bleached Coral, and I already knew I loved Mellow Lemon. These jackets are form fitting/fitted so I’m really surprised Lululemon has listed them as loose fitting on their website. I could technically size down to the 8 and it’s still comfortable, but it doesn’t look right. The 10 fits well, has room but still looks fitted and not a relaxed fit at all.

I’m a bit worried sometimes going with the 10 in items that as I loose weight (I’m on round 3 of Whole 30) things in my size 10’s will look sloppy – but thats not the case with fitted items like these. I’m pretty sure if I dropped down to a size 8 the 10 Rejuvinate Hoodie would still look good on.

The bleached coral is a really pretty peach color in this material, and the stretch cotton french terry is soft. The only thing of note is that they are light colors and thin cotton so you may find them a little sheer with dark prints underneath. I’m wearing a solid grey Devotion LS underneath and it looked fine. The one thing that really bugs me on these is that Lululemon definitely cheaped out on the features. No thumbholes, no embroidered logo, no zipper pull. These are things that have always been standard on their hoodies apart from any additional features – yet they’ve priced it $18 too expensive, all because we have had a light hoodie drought. Just think of all the detailing that the Carry and Go Hoodie had with all the pockets, snaps, embroidered logo and thumbholes all for the same price (Carry and Go was $108!) The hoodie strings on these are super long, and stretchy so if they sit uneven its harder to straighten them out. And uneven hoodie pulls drive me bananas. Compared with the Street To Studio Jacket, I think they are pretty similar in length and are both ‘cropped’ to sit at the top of the hips (the StS Jacket was ridiculously short on me) but the Rejuvenate Hoodie just looks more balanced on to me so I mind the cropped length much less.

Photos Of The Latest: Run: Rise And Shine Pullover, Run: Layer Me Pullover and More

The Run: Rise And Shine in Frond with Run: Layer Me LS in Bleached Coral/Black/Dune, Run: Pace Crop and Run: Pace Skirt.

Tried on the Layer Me LS in Faded Zap this afternoon and really liked it a lot. I just grabbed the size 8 though (sized down) as I didn’t see my TTS and although the fit is really long, even in the size down, my preference is still the size 10 in this because it’s so thin, soft and sheer that you don’t really want the fabric to hug your midsection unless everything is super firm. I really like that this is a longer looser fitting basic run pullover, and it’s super soft. On the ‘maybe’ list since I can’t really justify a pullover unless I sell a pullover.

With Ocean Striped Mellow Lemon Bang Buster. Also saw both new Bang Busters in store today and really liked them. I was unsure I’d like the Mellow Lemon one as I don’t care for it paired with Burning Yellow, but the inside is solid Mellow Lemon so it is acceptable.

Mellow Lemon/White Run: Layer Me LS

I don’t normally care for color blocking, but in this item I like it. Just the Bleached Coral/Black/Dune colorway though.

Love the Frond Green Run: Rise And Shine Pullover in these pictures. I saw a lady post pictures of her Frond Groovy Shorts paired with Snorkel and the color is so striking that now I feel like I need a solid Snorkel CRB just to pair with Frond.

Really cute!

These pictures of the Surf To Studio Jacket are from Australia from last week which I forgot to post. I really like this jacket in this picture even though I hadn’t even considered it before. I guess it’s the higher neck and the cuffs at the sleeves that I’m drawn to here. Not a must have for me but it is on my ‘admire’ list.

New Green Coming? Sour Apple?

by Cristina February 19, 2013

**New green may be called Sour Apple!!**

The green swiftly in this picture of the Invert Crops looks very different from the Frond Swiftly SL. I’m really hopeful that they are coming out with that Pantone 2013 Emerald Green  color of the year I’m seeing everywhere. I love Frond but I love a good emerald kelly green that much more. Plus, the swiftly LS is just a little too strategically and deliberately placed in this picture so it’s almost definitely an intentional sneak peek.

Upload!!

Lots of cute items uploaded tonight. I’m intrigued by the Rejuvenate Hoodie but Inkwell and Black aren’t calling my name in a hoodie, neither is the $118 price tag when it seems like a more basic hoodie (no design detailing, no embroidered logo, no zipper pull) . I also really like the Run: Layer Me Long Sleeve in Faded Zap or the Run: Rise And Shine Half Zip in Frond. I’m not feeling motivated to order any of these items though without seeing them in store first, especially since I’m not really in need of a run pullover or long sleeve. I did however order the Bang Buster Headbands in Frond and Mellow Lemon. I’m really liking Faded Zap by the way. I hope we see a Cool Racerback in that color as well as an Energy Bra. Did you notice the Run: Swiftly Tech SL have now been re marketed as *shortcut? So dumb. Lululemon, just put out consistent sizing in items and you wont have to remarket items after 2 weeks of being out on the floor. Put that collective brain power to better use.

What did you guys order tonight? What do you think of these items?

Run: Rise And Shine Pullover and Run: Pace Short

Not too much contrasting on the Run: Rise And Shine Pullover in Mellow Lemon. I really like it actually. The Run: Pace Shorts have a foldable waist very similar to the Astro Pants and Crops.

Run: Pace Skirt with Run: Layer Me Long Sleeve
I like how loose fitting the Layer Me looks.

Oh gosh, I am not in the market for a run pullover but this Frond Green Run: Rise And Shine is seriously making me drool

Run: Layer Me LS in Mellow Lemon is really cute too but I’m not loving the white contrasting on it.
