Lululemon Online Ordering Disaster

by Cristina August 27, 2013
written by Cristina

If you tried ordering from Lululemon’s upload last night and you are in the US, you probably encountered serious issues with trying to complete your order. There are hundreds of reports today of orders not completing, having to be reattempted constantly, only to have all of the attempts filled hours later. This has happened week after week now and last week it seems it was isolated to Canadian shoppers. This puts holds on pay pal funds that do not fall away for at least a week or more. This flags shoppers credit cards with ‘suspicious activity’ or puts shoppers over their limits as thousands of dollars worth of orders accumulate. And the GEC’s response to these complaints is that ‘this is the first I’m hearing of this‘, ‘you can just return all those items to the store when they arrive‘, to ‘this is an apple browser problem‘, ‘We are aware of the problem and can’t do anything about it‘ and ‘Since you are requesting the cancelations later than an hour after ordering, we cannot cancel these extra orders for you‘  No apologies whatsoever.

The Lululemon e commerce site has been operating now for  4 years and it has encountered problem after problem that never seems to be important enough to Lululemon to resolve. Having customers credit payments and pay pal funds tied up over these mistakes is inexcusable.

If you encountered these issues last night or from prior uploads, please share with us how Lululemon dealt with your transaction in order to unburden you of their mistakes and satisfy you that it will not occur again.

Upload!!

by Cristina August 27, 2013
written by Cristina

Dangerous uploads lately!! I got the Pow Stripe Split Pea Cool Racerback and earlier today I got the solid plum Cool Racerback. Not sure I’ll keep the Pow Stripe though since I tend to gravitate to solids. So many items have caught my eye though. The angel wing Back To Class Backpack is so pretty but that would stay white for about a minute for me, and the Work It Out Duffel. I really don’t use the gym bags I have though to justify getting another right now. Love the Fluffin’ Awesome Vest but its not something that I’d wear often enough to justify the cost.

Did you order anything tonight?

*wide reports of order processing issues* If you are having issues completing an order, please comment. This has been happening week after week now and today is the worst so far.

Right As Rain Jacket

I think the jacket is wet in this picture. It looks really shinny here and different from all the other pictures.

Fit Review: Last Years Right As Rain Jacket Bordeaux Drama Compared to This Years Right As Rain Jacket Plum

by Cristina August 26, 2013
written by Cristina

I got to my store today to try on the Right As Rain Jacket, considering a swap/resale for a size 8 instead of the size 10 I currently own, and there were a few differences in the jacket but not significant fit changes. The main difference in fit is that the new version is shorter. I’m wearing the same pair of shorts in both pictures here and my Bordeaux Drama Right As Rain covers my shorts completely while they peek out the bottom of this years Plum Right As Rain. The size 10 fits me a bit large in the bust and the arms, but I like how accommodating and flared out the hips are compared to the size 8, so I think I will stick with my 10 and when I lose more weight hunt down the 8.

There are some design differences to the fabric, both the new and old RAR jackets are Twill and DWR (durable water repellant).  The new version is slightly softer and more flexible but the fabric is matte. The inside satin lining is also quite matte compared to my Bordeaux Drama one. I like the slicker satiny lining in mine because it makes it easier to layer items underneath. My Bordeaux Drama isn’t glossy on the outside at all but it has slightly more sheen which makes it look more saturated in color. The fleece at the chin and collar is grey in my RAR and the plum one has a plum fleece. The zipper track on the inside iphone pocket is raspberry glow inside the new Right As Rain.

All in all, I think if you missed out last year and where hoping to pick one up, the new version is just as nice as last years but has some subtle changes. Fit wise, its TTS. The areas that may cause fit issues on sizing down is if you have wider hips, or if you have a larger bust or shoulders. The size 10 on me allows me to layer a thick swearer underneath or my down Turn Around Jacket. The size 8 is comfortable but I probably wouldn’t be able to layer a thick scuba underneath, probably just a thinner long sleeve. It would also need to be unzipped at the bottom a bit when sitting down.

Product Drop Monday: Work It Out Duffel, Nice Asana Jacket, Right As Rain Jacket

Work It Out Duffel

If you were remotely considering getting a gym bag, do not hesitate. All the bags this year have been pretty basic and this looks a lot more like the beautiful bags of years past.

Right As Rain Jacket in Inkwell

The Right As Rain Jacket is always very popular thanks to its simple and flattering styling. The other jackets tend to be very stylized (Studio Soft Shell, the paddington jacket last year) and appeal to fewer.

Right As Rain Jacket is Back!

I love the Right As Rain Jacket and have one from last year in Bordeaux Drama. I think I need a size down though so I’m hoping to sell my Bordeaux Drama one in order to get the size down in Plum.

New! Nice Asana Jacket

by Cristina August 25, 2013
written by Cristina

New this week is the Nice Asana Jacket which is super similar to the Contempo Jacket. When I saw the Nice Asana Jacket last week in black on the UK upload, I compared the picture side by side with the Contempo and it looks like the difference is in length, the Nice Asana being longer, as well as the angle of the pockets. I think the Contempo Jacket will be more balancing to my shape as the shorter length is better for my long torso and the angled pockets work better for my hips.

New Wunder Under Pant and New Bags

by Cristina August 25, 2013
written by Cristina

This picture was just posted of new Wunder Under Pant * High/Low that has an adjustable waist (I think). Also, look at the lower right of the picture! Two new gym bag styles, one is in midnight iris an the other looks like Inkwell but I wonder if its the new Inkwell Camo Print. I’ve seen a navy camo print in a few stores this past week (The Gap was one) and it seems like the new trend.
