Upload! Yay it’s a good one this week. Loving nile blue in the Down For It All Vest. I’m waiting for Savannah Pink or Nile Blue in the Down For It All Jacket. Such happy colors! I’m also loving that Another Mile Jacket in Lavender Dew.
Have you guys tried the woven wool scarf? I wonder how different it is from the wool blend scarf. I think the woven wool is 100% wool and it’s lighter and thinner… but not positive. I love the online photos for both of them but I haven’t seen them in store yet. I may just go ahead and order one this week to check out. I actually don’t have a scarf right now.
I’m also feeling tempted by the everglade Merino Wool Pullover Sweater.
By the way, check out my post that went live earlier today! I have my first holiday gift guide up.
What did you guys get this upload? Tell me in the comments what’s on your lululemon wish list for the holidays.

Huge thank you to lululemon for sponsoring this post and for the awesome gear they’ve gifted me! I am so thrilled to have some very exciting content planned over the holidays to help inspire you. You are definitely going to want to stay tuned for my upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday post!
lululemon invited me to be their holiday ambassador this season which means I get to share my favourite gift ideas with you right here. Check out the gift guide I’ve created to help you narrow down your shopping lists. I’ll be creating several more gift guides over the next few weeks which will be easily viewable from the home page.

My favourite piece for gift giving this holiday is the Down For It All Jacket in Everglade Green, Red Merlot or Delicate Mint. These are such pretty colors for the holidays. Jewel tones are universally flattering so if you are unsure on color choice, you really can’t go wrong with Everglade or Red Merlot. This jacket is form fitting, so I recommend sizing up in it. Especially if the person receiving it might like to layer.
I tried on the Down For It All Vest *Shine in store the other day and really liked the Night Sea. The Pink Savannah color is the one I fell in love with online, but sadly it sold out before I could order. I’m waiting for restocks on that pretty color. I recommend you guys act fast if you are buying from someone’s wish list because items do sell out rather quickly, especially over the holidays.
My other must own recommendation are the Instill High Rise Tight 25”. I reviewed them *here* and I still love them so much for winter. In fact, the ones I’m wearing in this post are my third pair.

My cold process soap making snob review of lululemon’s new Exfoliating Body Soap
Did you guys know that I’m a little bit of a cold process soap snob? I started to learn about soap making a few years ago and last year I got brave and finally started making my own. Given you work very closely with lye (Sodium Hydroxide ☠️), it definitely requires a lot of bravery and a solid understanding of the safety process.
I got really into the science of cold process soap making, and especially good recipe formulating. I find well made plain, unscented bar soap really satisfying. Although I make all of our own soap now and share it with friends and family, I will still occasionally buy bar soap if I like the formula.
Cold process bar soap is by far the most superior soap there is for cleansing your skin, especially if you have any skin issues like Eczema or psoriasis, or acne. Your skin will be so much happier with a very simple well balanced bar soap made simply of saponified oils. My daughter has incredibly sensitive, eczema skin and she can only use my home made bar soaps, or other similarly made bar soaps.
This is why I was so excited to see lululemon came out with two new bar soaps as part of their self care lineup. Of all the lululemon Selfcare products, these are the most exciting for me.
lululemon selfcare body soap
The anti-stink body soap, and exfoliating body soap are slightly on the pricy side at $16, but not too far away from other locally made artisanal soaps. One artisanal brand I buy is Pep Soap and it’s priced at $12.
the scents: citrus lavender, eucalyptus mint
Looking at the ingredients in lululemon’s formulation, it’s easy to see why the price is justified. lululemon seems to max out the ratio of essential oils for frangrance, and uses a pretty nice variety of essential oils in their fragrance blends. These soaps pack a really nice fragrance punch. That’s hard to do with essential oils as you need to use a bigger volume to throw the scent. There are additives you can use that help boost the scent, which lululemon does, but getting this strong of a fragrance requires a high ratio of essential oils. Some soap makers use fragrance oils instead of essential oils because they are cheaper, and throw scent much farther. Natural scents are better in my opinion, and much less irritating, but they are expensive.
ingredients in lululemon’s soap formula
lululemon uses a really nice simple base formula of palm oil, palm kernel oil, and shea butter. This recipe makes a hard bar of soap that won’t dissolve or turn to mush quickly (keep it dry between use), and it lathers really well. The exfoliating body soap has an addition of avocado oil as a super fat which makes it even more moisturizing. Super fat oils are oils that don’t become saponified and stay in the soap as a moisturizing agent.
There are some really great additives in these soaps in addition to the base formulas which help with exfoliation, texture and the luxurious feel. The first thing I noticed was that the anti-stink soap felt really silky. I checked to see what they added to create such a silky texture and saw that they used corn starch and hydrated silica, which also helps with fragrance retention.
Both bars of soap also have vegan probiotics in them and salicylic acid for exfoliation. These ingredients are sort of hard to source for the home soap maker, and also very tricky to incorporate. The exfoliating bar soap includes jojoba esters (closest to our skins own natural oil) and jojoba beads to exfoliate.
the verdict
I really like both of these bar soaps. They have great ingredients and include a few luxury ingredients I can’t easily source for my own soaps, and that I haven’t seen in other commercially available soaps. I’m curious to see how long one bar will last. Since they are made of palm kernal oil they are as hard as you can get a bar soap, which means they should last longer. You still need to keep them dry between showers as all bar soap will dissolve if left in standing water. I sometimes like to cut my bar soaps in half in order to have them last longer, and that’s something I might do with these ones. They are a good size at 5oz so cutting them in half won’t leave me with tiny pieces. You could even take half in your gym bag and leave the other half at home.
I will definitely be repurchasing these as I love the fragrances and the luxurious feel of them. The eucalyptus, peppermint and ginger provides a really nice cooling feeling on your skin after which is especially nice after a workout.

Mini upload today guys, but worry not. I’m preparing for a very exciting Black Friday event. You definitely want to check the blog out for Black Friday info.
Today’s upload did have some goodies of course. I ordered the Hooded Radiant Jacket in Pink Savannah. I tried to get the Down For It All Vest *Shine in Savannah last week but it sold out right away. I keep checking for restocks but haven’t had any luck so far. I’m debating what to get in Blue Nile. I love the color but I think I want a jacket or top over leggings. I may break down and get the Wunder Under luxtreme since they are more compressive, which is better in light colors that might show lumps and bumps.

This early upload was such a surprise that I haven’t had a chance to browse it for myself just yet. I do see a lot of great gift ideas for the holidays. I’m definitely going to have a closer look at the lululemon x Saje kits.

Hello Holiday!
This lululemon sponsored post could not have come at a better time. First of all, I’m super exited for this years holiday season. I’m really looking forward to it and it feels like that holiday mood has kicked in sooner for me this year.
Huge thank you to lululemon for sponsoring this post, and providing me with some cozy products to check out for the holidays, and to inspire me to start planning my holiday shopping.
The pickle for me this year is that I’m booked in for surgery for early December. I’m finally having my deviated septum repaired! Yay! Finally! It’s been a very long road, and I’ve been wanting this surgery for years. I’ll tell you all about it in another post because I’m definitely wanting to share my experience with you guys.
Because of the timing of my surgery, and the pre-op requirements, I’ll be ‘staying in’ at home the two weeks before, and then the 1-2 weeks of recovery. I’m so glad to have these cozy knit pieces to live in during that time. Especially the super stretchy Merino Wool V-Neck sweaters which will be so easy to pull on and off.
Merino Wool V-Neck Sweater
I JUMPED for joy when I saw this new merino wool sweater. I love cozy knits made out of merino wool. Especially looser chunky knit sweaters like this one. It’s the perfect weight and fit. My coziest outfit is this sweater paired with the Engineered Warmth Joggers I got last year.
I get overheated in sweaters really easily but not with merino wool. It’s such an efficient temperature regulator. This wool is the softest yet, and the Delicate Mint is so pretty.
I ordered this in my TTS and it’s a nice loose fit.

Light Merino Wool Hoodie
Merino wool piece #2. This Light Weight Merino Wool Hoodie is a thin, light weight merino knit. It’s equally soft and cozy but it’s a thin tight knit, quite different from a merino wool chunky knit. This sweater has more of a silky drape.
I really wanted this hoodie in the Dark Olive but it sold out in my size, so I picked my next favourite. You can’t go wrong with any of the color options though.
I purchased my TTS, and it’s a pretty relaxed fit. I love this as a layering piece I can wear it under a heavy jacket without feeling like I’m wearing something bulky.

Pack It Down Jacket
I’m really excited to gift this Pack It Down Jacket to my mom. She’s been wanting this jacket for a while and she doesn’t know she’s finally getting it. We are approximately the same size in jackets, and I ordered my size up. She has a larger bust than I do but I am pretty sure this will fit her comfortably. The color Blue Linen is perfection!

The upload is here! Such an awesome upload. I LOVE the Down & Around Vest and Jacket, especially in Rover. I’m tempted by the Down & Around Crew in Rover. Insulated pullovers are so handy for long dog walks. They just feel so much more hands free and the pockets are deeper since they go straight across. Also on my wish list is the Wool Blend Scarf, and the lab Jaquard Maxi Dress.
Let me know in the comments what you are loving. Have you picked up a jacket from lululemon’s Fall collection yet? Have you gotten any holiday shopping done at lululemon yet?

lululemon Fall/Winter haul
Huge thank-you to lululemon for sponsoring this try-on post and for sending me this awesome haul to get me ready for the chilly weather! I am loving all of these pieces.
Wunder Puff Collection
Pink Lychee
If you are shopping for a winter jacket, I love the entire Wunder Puff line. This year the colors are fantastic! It’s so great that you can get the Wunder Puff in a variety of lengths to suit your proportions. I have the Wunder Puff Vest Croppedvest, also in Lychee pink, and it gets so much use. You really can’t go wrong with any of the color options. Evergreen and bold Beige are really beautiful.
I stay tts in this jacket (typically I size up in winter coats) and it’s still quite roomy. I can easily layer this jacket over a thick scuba hoodie and not feel bunched up in the least. It’s very warm, but also very light weight so you don’t feel like a bundled up abominaban snowman.
As you can see, I wasted no time in detagging the Wunder Puff Cropped Jacket.
Reversible Fleece Jacket
Green Twill
There is nothing better than a cozy teddy fleece for the Fall. The Reversible Fleece Jacket has a smooth side option, but to be honest, I will wear the fleece side out all of the time. It’s too pretty to hide! This Green Twill color is stunning! It’s such an unusual green. It’s actually my favourite color. For the fine artists out there, this is Chromium Oxide Green, or maybe Terra Verde. Both greens used for landscape painting and portraits. I buy this color in bulk, haha!
I sized down in the Reversible Fleece as the reviews recommend this. I think the size down is correct for me but you do lose a bit of length, and if you prefer things on the long side you may prefer the extra inch in your tts. These oversized teddy jackets do look best when they are slightly cropped though. They are so voluminous in the torso that that cropped length defines your waist and it looks more flattering. I don’t think this is classified as a cropped length technically (no skin showing of course) but it sits higher than a scuba hoodie would.
Cashlu™ Sweater Wrap
&
Back in Action Long Sleeve
Delicate Mint
Knit cardigans and wraps are essentials for me. I get so overheated in knit sweaters. Cardigans are so versatile because they give you the option of dressing in removable layers. This years Cashlu Sweater Wrap is a shorter length which works well for my proportions. I love the streamlined fit of this sweater, and love the pockets. The cashlu in this is a thicker cozier knit then previous years. I got this in M/L which corresponds to my typical size 10 in wraps. I think I’m going to get this wrap in the Auric Gold as well.
I’m a new convert to the Back in Action lineup. I don’t know why I didn’t try them out sooner. I also really love the RULU version which I have in the lavender dew color. That one is my favourite.
I have a few of the short sleeve versions that I got over the summer in both my TTS, and size down. I can’t decide what size I prefer in the short sleeve. I prefer my TTS in the LS for some reason. The shorter sleeve length is great. It looks so stylish when you pull the sleeves up higher. The Delicate mint is a super pretty color. I hope we get the RULU version in Delicate Mint, too!
