Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 Fit Review: Barbour ‘Millfire’ Quilted Jacket, and Ted Baker ‘Roark’ Jacket Caught My Eye

This post is by special request from a reader considering the Barbour Jacket I got on Thursday from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s currently sold out online but should be in stores and restocked in one full size run when the sale opens up to none card holders on Friday.

Barbour ‘Millfire’ Quilted Jacket US size 10

I really adore this jacket. The size run at Nordstrom Pacific Place was pretty limited on the first day of the sale but luckily a SA was able to scout out a size 10 for me. I could even go up to a 12 if they had had it but I don’t think that size was available at all in this model and the 10 fits fine over a sweater. I don’t think this jacket is waterproof or warm enough for an extreme winter but this weight of jacket is perfect for mild Vancouver winters. The inside is lined with a tartan flannel and I think that is my favourite thing about the jacket. I already know that if Nordstrom sells the pink one again next year for the Anniversary Sale, I definitely want to get it in that color. I love that you can also cinch in the waist and that it’s a princess cut.

I’ve been watching peoples Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 hauls on Purse Forum and on instagram and other blogs and this Ted Baker Jacket caught my eye. It looks a lot like my Mackage leather jacket so I overlooked it for myself but I just watched a review of it has a stunning floral inner liner. If you are in the market for a new leather jacket, check this one out!

  1. Thank you for taking the time to put this post up!
I went today and was able to score a jacket as well. I agree with you the inner lining of the jacket is beautiful. I was so surprised how nice the jacket looks in real online it kinda looks plain – well I am in love since last year with the wax jacket, but $ 500+ I just couldn't justify such a big purchase.
Just as I walked out of Nordstrom I passed the shoe section and a lady was there with her mom and they where both so excited about the Freye boots so I HAD to try those on. It was hard to find a "matching" set of boots that fit was for all 3 of us ladies. In the same size there was one boot that felt tighter than the other one, it was really weird. That never happened to me before. Eventually I was happy wi size and the color fading of the leather.
So if you are planning to purchase this boot, I would suggest ordering 2 pairs and return one set. For me the boot fit in my regular size 8.5 but the other two ladies said they ran big on them.

  2. Ps – the jacket does run small I am between a 4/6 us and purchased a size 8 which leaves me room for a "inner" sweater around my shoulders.
I wished there would have been the green available.
If the jacket comes out in spring in pink as you said I would tally get that one as well 🙂
Much happy with the fit of the Barbour jacket compared to the j crew wax jacket!!!!
