Have any of you tried the Nike Sportband? I’ve been tracking my runs using Runningmap.com and it’s worked out well to give me an approximation of my kilometres except that I want to know precisely what my kilometres are as well as my pace (which I’m pretty good at approximating too) and elevation so that I can start tracking my runs in terms of distance and not time spent. I also need something with a stopwatch function. The Nike Sportband retails here in Canada for $79 but were going on another US shopping trip soon and it’s $59 over there. Or I can get a Garmin 110 for $199 like a reader suggested to me. I think I’m also being swayed by the nice sleek packaging and pretty colors. And also the fact that it’s pretty simple, all you have to do is plug the USB portion into your computer and it uploads your workout without the need to have an iPod (my iTouch is too old for the Nike+). I know eventually I’m going to want the Garmin but for now, can I make do with the Nike sportband? If you have one of these doohickeys please let me know if your happy with it.

Push Ur Limit Tank
Built In Bra Tank Tops from lululemon
lululemon Push Ur Limits Tank
This post on the lululemon Push Ur Limit Tank has been updated for relevance in 2022. Vintage lululemon tops are hot sellers on the lululemon resale market.
This tank top was first released in 2012, and was lululemon’s most supportive built in bra tank. lululemon built in bra tanks are incredibly well made and worth your while if you are shopping for a new tank top.
Sadly, this tank was discontinued several years ago but you can readily find it on the resale market for great prices. My favourite is the Wish Blue/Multi Poncho Stripe, and the Ikat print. Those are my favourite vintage lululemon prints of all time. New supportive bra tank lululemon options is the Ebb to Street Tank.

No new goings on at Lulu today so I thought I’d discus my running. This week the weather has cooled down significantly from last week. For the past few weeks the weather has been around 30* but feeling really humid so running was tough but I stuck with my schedule and made sure I got plenty of water and gatorade and coconut water occasionally to fuel my runs and also keep my milk supply up for nursing, I was satisfied if I was dripping sweat by the time I got home. If I wasn’t that meant I didn’t hydrate enough and would end up with a wicked headache and a cranky baby. This week the weather has been in the 20’s and my runs have been fantastic. I noticed things felt really easy and especially on the hills which I do a lot of but I wouldn’t normally describe the experience as easy. All three days so far my hills have felt completely effortless and like I’m just gliding up them. I did a long run on Sunday (7km) but then on Wednesday and Thursday my short runs felt like they were too short so I continued on to my long run distance and last night I surpassed it to just under 8km!!! And I haven’t even been waking up sore the next day either which is a great sign to push myself further. I think it’s funny how your mind gives you these beliefs about your limitations but really when you push yourself you can go well beyond what you thought you could. Of course it helps to have some weather transitions on your side. I wish Lululemon could make a hydration pack that doesn’t require velcro to close it which abrades your luon. I have one sacrificed CRB tank with pilling across where I have my Fuel belt sitting and if it’s hot enough that I need to wear my belt I wear that tank (Lagoon?)…but I really prefer to wear my nicer colored CRB’s and my I Just Wanna Run Tank (Pig Pink) because I like to at least look good when sweat is pouring out of me like a faucet and I’m wearing a grimace on my face as I power up the hills. I almost used an old toddler sock with the end cut off threaded through my belt to cover the velcro but I couldn’t find one single neutral colored sock to use. Sunday were going to have a low temp of 18 and guess what I wish I had to wear that day…this.
I’ve been wondering what the Denim Dance Crops would look like on. I think I’d like to get these later on closer to fall as the “jegging” look is in and the pants work for me. I like that you can untie the pulls and make these longer pants which will be handy in the cooler weather. Especially if you can tuck these into boots. I know, not the popular opinion on these pants but I don’t care.
I like white tanks but I would never get the Commit tank in white because it’s so beautiful with the contrast detailing. It’s a simple and modest tank but the whole beauty of it is in the sweat heart (almost) bustline and the corset like contrast trim.

PS, I like this model very much. I also like this logo on the mens t but I can just see all of his friends asking the poor guy for money.

Vinyasa Toque, Community Pants and Eagle Tank
Another view of the lululemon Vinyasa Toque. I’m holding out for the Brisk Run Toque posted bellow.
The Vinyasa Toque from lululemon!

The mens Seawall pants just came out in Ivy and someone on Facebook suggested Lulu make Dance Studio Pants in Ivy for the ladies. I would love to see that as it would be a really subtle, almost camo inspired pant which would work well with all of the new admiral/military style jackets in stores these days.
