The Audry

by Cristina August 29, 2010

Sorry for the horrible pictures but it’s more just to show the length on me as well as button details for those of you wondering if the quality is the same as the bomber. I’m 5’4 and short legged so I think the length is perfect for me (sorry I don’t have a tape measurer at the moment). The price tag at $228 is totally unfair considering the Everyday Yoga Jacket is $178 and this is pretty much the identical construction. Same inside and same fabric on the outside. Although this is much nicer and dressier so I paid because I’m in need of a jacket. If Lululemon decides to change the price I really hope I get a price adjustment on this.

I chose Shark in a size 8. There getting the rest of the colors later on so I’ll have to see if Shark is still my first choice or if I would like Coal better. What do you think of this color?? There is no hood on the jacket but that’s not a deal breaker for me as I always take hoods off. The size I think is perfect for wearing a Stride underneath but I can’t comfortably put a scuba or remix under it. If your a size 2, the range is 4-12 but I think you could pull off the size 4. It bells out a bit more at the bottom in the size up which is pretty too and you would be able to wear a scuba underneath. This jacket is a zip up and button up, double breasted design. The buttons from the collar down are snaps and they seem pretty sturdy. It looks good all the way open if you don’t mind seeing the snaps and it also looks good just with the big chunky buttons done up. You can also flip the collar up to cover your neck. Over all I think this is a perfect jacket for Vancouver as it’s warm (fleece lined like the Everyday Jacket) and water and wind proof. More to post in a little bit. I have a scoop on a few other items.

What??? A New Jacket!

by Cristina August 29, 2010
written by Cristina

Ok, I think my vest is going back asap. This is everything I loved about the bomber jacket last winter but with a much better length. So glad I kept the tags on the vest. This will look so cute with jeans. Hope it’s not a crazy price, I suspect it will be close in price to the vest.
The Audrey Jacket is here!
– classic jacket with all the function of a technical softshell
– softshell fabric has 2-way stretch and protects from wind and rain
– soft fleece inside for warmth and comfort

Trip to Seattle + Facebook Pictures

by Cristina August 29, 2010
written by Cristina

Sorry I’m blogging so late all, I just arrived home from our trip to Seattle and it was a bit of a bust. 3 hour border wait time on the way there this morning (seemed like they were being extra vigilant for some reason like something was up) so that put a huge downer on our trip and we had very little time for anything other than rushing in stores and keeping the little ones happy. We didn’t get into seattle until 3pm after having left our house at 8am. Nuts. Anyways, thank you all for emailing me and sending messages about the Inspire Pullover snaffu. I was almost hyperventilating at the thought of missing the opportunity to run out grab mine (either lolo or static black…maybe heathered Senorita Pink).

My goal of this trip was to pick up something nice at Anthropologie like these boots I’ve fallen in love with…so in love…

Pebbled & Primped Boots
but it turns out that that location doesn’t carry shoes! Choked. It was also impossible to buy any tops or pants there because of huge lineups for the dressing rooms, one wonky mirror in store and huge lineups to pay. So I ended up back at Lululemon for an impulse buy of the Citron Peace of Mind vest which I may or may not keep. I love it but I’m not sure what else is coming down the line as far as jackets or other colors for this vest.

and then I went to Victoria Secrete and I found these really nice multi way racerback bras that I can wear with my CRB’s, major pushup action and I can sort of nurse with them (sort of).  The picture bellow is not of me… ;D

The Insite crops were not in store so I couldn’t try them on. The only new item I saw was a new Modern crew neck in Senorita Pink but it had the wretched color block panels in grey on it. Poop on that.  The rest of these pictures are from the Somerset Facebook album.

New mystery pants that look Astro like, maybe an Astro II. They look nice and I like the color combo but the Astro’s and that style are a pass for me. I like Astros, I have a pair and they are comfy around my middle but they feel a little loose and slide a bit so it’s not my favourite style.
Lolo Wear With All with a pencil sketch hood and new Merino Wool Toque (bottom). I’m not a fan of Merino wool, I find it very itchy and it drives me nuts so this is a pass. Does the hat she’s wearing in the top two picture look like a running toque in lolo stripe or another Wool type toque?

New tank called Awareness Tank. I think this tank is suffering from an identity crisis. I’m going to have to try it on before I write it off completely but my first impressions are that I don’t care for it.

And the Tadasana pants in Static Grey and Senorita Pink. I think I like these best in black. Excited to try these on although I don’t think I have a “need” for them.

A Comparison Of Heathered Amazon and Ivy

by Cristina August 28, 2010
written by Cristina

The Heathered Amazon in the top photo is not a great picture and If I can find a better picture I’ll post more comparisons. I’m liking Ivy much more as it seems much more green + brown where as Heathered Amazon is more kaki and military inspired which is what’s in style these days. I can’t seem to find any other items in the color Heathered Amazon so this is either a new name for a heathered ivy or a new color altogether or perhaps they have made a mistake in the labeling (but I doubt that). Which one do you prefer? And do you know if these are two different colors?

* There is in fact a heathered amazon (HAMZ) and a heathered ivy (HIVY).

New Color!!!

Heathered Amazon on the right. I am in LOVE with that color. It’s close to Ivy but I think I like this one better. I’ll have to see them close together to really decide. These are the Fireside Hoodies in new colors.

Ok, on a side note. If my husband ever came to bed wearing these I would laugh hysterically and then turn him down.

Effortless Shorts

by Cristina August 27, 2010
written by Cristina

These are a really cute short with a zippered pocket in the back (a feature I love) and if this short were maybe 2″ longer I would have loved these back in the start of summer. As it is, because of the frayed ends that curl up you will likely loose a bit more length after a few washings once the ends curl up a bit.

Effortless Hoodie

by Cristina August 27, 2010
written by Cristina

Someone posted a picture of the Effortless Hoodie and shorts (which she stated is about a 2-3/4″ inseam in the size 4) on facebook and she stayed true to size (4) with the hoodie and is happy with the fit. I think it looks great on her but you can tell that the arms are  a narrower fit in relation to the body so if you have larger arms or you dislike the feeling of a form fitting longer sleeve in this type of fabric than keep that in mind when choosing your size. I love this color combined with the distressed edges and I hope they bring that out in another item such as the Scuba Hoodie or the Wear With All.

Finally Pictures of the New Items

by Cristina August 27, 2010

The Silver and Lolo Scuba Hoodie with the rimmed knitted beanie and the rucksack

I saw the beanie in store today and it is really cute. Especially the multi colored ones paired with the Charcoal Journey Hoodie.

Lolo Scuba porn for those of you that ordered one today.
Senorita Pink Scuba. This is the one I would get because it is very girly and bright and I have way too much Lolo at the moment. Also, the logo is brown and I love the pink and brown combo.

or does that look like a grey logo? I can’t really tell. maybe purple? no matter, I still really like the Senorita Pink.

Didn’t love this one in person. It’s Senorita Pink but the Pink gets really dulled out by the black.
See…
The Effortless Hoodie looks really nice on her but it’s kinda plain. I think you can tell how tight the arms are on her in the elbow area.

Large hood which I really like with a nice open neck.

and the hood detail I discussed earlier with the not great logo. like the distressed seams but maybe the hood is a little bit too huge.

Ear Warmers. I love them. I find them to be much softer than the Vinyasa Scarf which is brushed luon. this is some kind of brushed fleece.

and here you see how well the toque covers the ears, so you don’t need both items. This is a good thing because I hated how the toque looked on me.

And the Brisk Neck Warmer. I love it. You can cinch it up in two places so probably above your mouth to keep your breath warm and also at the bottom.

Detail of SE CRB

This is the Citron and White Special Edition CRB and the contrast color is luon as well as the body of the tank. These are not lined with circle mesh like the ones we saw in early summer.

More Tadasana Pant Pictures

by Cristina August 26, 2010
written by Cristina

These pants look great. I can’t wait to try these on. But I don’t really *need* a new pair of luon pants. I need Dance Studio Pants in another color and I need running pants. I will find it very hard to resist these, especially since boot cut pants are pretty much universally flattering on. And it’s hard to resist things when they look really good on. You can wear the bottom several ways because of the drawstring or you can just leave them hanging as they naturally fall which is nice. I like that option on my DSP’s because in the rain I hate to have my pants dragging so I wear them up slightly on my ankles with the drawcord up around my upper calf so the length of the pants are folded under. Not poofy at all when there worn like that.
