An astute reader left a comment on my last post about the November Sneak Peeks video that the purple In The Flow Crops are probably Deep Zinfandel. The mens line just got this gorgeous Heathered Deep Zinfandel pullover today, so I’m thinking we may see something similar. Heathered too please! Also, I’ve heard that we will in fact be seeing Surge come in November and those Swifty LS’s that were uploaded last week were not a one off. Also looking forward to the Heathered Inkwell Gratitude Wrap thats coming.
Lululemon just posted this Sneak Peek November 2013 Video on Instagram.
A new floral print which we see in the Free To Be Bra (looks a lot like this Anthropology ‘Galaxy Burst Bra’) and a gorgeous purple in the In The Flow Crops. Could that be Lolo Purple?
Pink making a return. And the Wunder Unders look a lot like the Seabed coal/black Wunder Unders from Spring 2011 which I was sad to miss out on.
A multi pink Striped Cool Racerback with a swatch of purple in it.
A new Jacket. At first I thought it was luon but I think it may be a run jacket.
Upload at 9:45 pm PST. Well, I ordered the Forme Jacket *Herringbone but I’m not exactly sure what I’m getting since the images are all of the Pique Forme Jacket. The Nice Asana Jacket on the other hand is listed as Herringone and is actually a picture of a Herringbone Nice Asana. Unfortunately its got contrasted sleeves on it which I hate, and its styled with the uber hipster chambray shirt which I detest.
The Paisley Inkwell CRB is pretty but the Paisley print isn’t my thing, and I can tell this is a heavy polyester CRB.
I’m not going to lie. I was tempted tonight to buy the Harmonious Hoodie in Buff. I have it in Corflower and I have worn it none stop since I got it a few weeks ago so much so that my husband got me the black one as well. I’m obsessed with this hoodie. The trick to washing it seems to be washing in cold with regular detergent (not wool detergent!) and washing it with a pair of jeans which helps defuzz it, then lay flat to dry. I found these washing suggestions on the IceBreaker website and so far so good after two washes. Its 100% Merino Wool so you definitely want to take extra care in washing it appropriately so that the fibres stay nice.
Oh Lululemon. You just don’t get it.
A Dallas Lululemon store chose this display to use after turning down a charity request from The Family Place for battered women, who use ‘Partner Cards’ as a way to fundraise for their charity and is well established and known in their community with over 700 participating retailers. Not only did Lululemon decline to support the charity (entirely their prerogative) but they then chose to exploit the charities message in order to market their own product with this window display. After several customers voiced their disgust on the lululemon Facebook page, the Dallas Lululemon store removed the window display.
This display is offensive on multiple levels. First of all, exploiting the ‘partner card’ campaign for their own marketing usage and secondly, referencing ‘partner yoga’ in the context of domestic abuse situations. Lululemon later back pedalled in a Facebook statement saying they were ‘jamming’ with the people at Family Place in order to come up with another way to help, and offered yoga to the abused women and children. Yoga! Something they already offer every customer for free as part of their ambassador program where they use ambassadors to teach their classes. Yoga to women who are leaving their lives behind and worrying about how they will meet their children’s basic needs of food, water, clothing and shelter.
