Spirit Pullover/Alpine Pullover

by Cristina November 16, 2010
written by Cristina

A compassion of the fit of both pullovers. Sorry for the bad picture quality on the left, that was my phone camera. Both Pullovers are a size 8 and are pretty close in fit. The only difference I find is that the Alpine Pullover is a bit more comfortable around the neck opening. I found my Spirit Pullover pulled slightly towards the opening.  The Spirit Pullover has  a different hem around the bottom with the black detail and cute reflective designs. The seam detail along the front is pretty similar.

Live Simply Jacket

I love the look of this jacket with the oversized hood and the seam details but I hate that it has a metal zipper. The metal zippers always seem to catch whatever top I have underneath and pinch, I get my nails snagged on the teeth all the time, and they are too sharp and rough to be able to wear while holding my baby.

A Few More Pictures: Black Alpine Pullover and Live SImply Jacket and New Scuba

by Cristina November 16, 2010
written by Cristina

I’ve heard some reviews of the Alpine Pullover fitting snug in the chest and arms and I didn’t find that with my size 8. I would have liked to try the size 10 which was not available just to see if it would be a bit roomier in the tummy and midsection area but other then that it was not an awkward fit for me. Mind you, I don’t have built arms or anything but I don’t exactly have skinny arms either. I think the Run Spirit Pullover from last year was only roomier in the lower tummy area and the lower arms area because it had a bit of a slouchyness to the design.

Live Simply Jacket. Quite similar to the Wear With All. I like this better then the WWA because I love the bigger hood and the seam detailing on it. Metal zipper though.

Second Batch of Cuddle Ups

by Cristina November 16, 2010
written by Cristina

An interesting thing noticed by a friend is that the stitching detail on the new Cuddle Ups is different from the first batch. The new ones just have a single row of stitching where as the first batch had a criss cross pattern.

Here is the new Wish Blue Cuddle Up.

And here is the first batch Cuddle Up in Lilac  & Teal Zeal

I quite like this pullover. I’ve gone pullover crazy lately and I think I’ll be editing my closet pretty soon. Stay tuned for pictures over the next week in the ‘shop my closet’ page.

The New Shopper

by Cristina November 16, 2010
written by Cristina

I got my new shopper today and was so glad because it was raining cats and dogs and so I appreciated being able to zip my goods up and protect it from the water. The model on the bag (who I think is great by the way) is the same new model on the website and she’s also an educator at the West 4th store.

New Store Pictures -Tons Of Stuff Coming This Week!

by Cristina November 15, 2010

Alpine Pullover. I think if you missed out on the Spirit Pullover last year you will be pretty happy with this one. The back pocket is sewn in beautifully all the way around in case you were wondering. Here is my Fit Review from earlier today, I bought the size 8 Haze.
The neck goes up quite a bit higher then my Spirit Pullover which has more of a diagonal zipper.

Love the print on this. Very cute in smaller doses. But…as I look at it more and more I think I would die for a Cool Racerback in this print.

I’m crazy about this. It looks so cool and edgy. I hope new tanks come out in this.

Run: Base Layer Top (Merino Wool). I think this is as fine knit and soft as they come. I’m quite sensitive to wool so I tried it on and sadly it’s too itchy for me. But I think 99.9% of people will find this quite soft. I also noticed this was a very delicate top (snag city if your not careful). $108.

Run Alpine Tight. I so badly wanted to try this on and considered brining it home for a try on but my toddler was just not permitting much browsing today. I was happy I got to leave with the Alpine pullover at all. These are quite nice and soft on the inside but I ran last night with my compression socks under my Inspire Crops and I’m almost certain that that will be warm enough for me for the winter here. Plus, I have a treadmill for the cold, cold days. I like the simple design of these, the zip pocket and the reflective detailing at the bottom.

Tech Fleece with a wicking outer layer

The Post Run Pant…Soft Fleece pants. I wonder if there will be a Post Run Fleece Top???

Live Simply Tees. The Heathered ones get quite fuzzy with a few wears.

Live Simply Jacket. You can’t really see the seam details on this but it’s quite nice. It’s like the seam detailing on the Cuddle up but all one color. The length is very similar to the Wear With All. At first glance I thought this was the WWA except that it was less form fitting.

Super Cute.

Yogi Dance Tank. Lots of color options. Solid Very Violet and Solid Persimmon were both nice.

Adorable for a maternity top (and non maternity too!)

Cuddle Ups.

Awareness Wrap Colors.

Hot Yoga Bag. Soo cute, I was dying to check them out but I wasn’t able to. Perhaps tomorrow.

Gym Essential Kit.

Run: Alpine Pullover Pics

by Cristina November 15, 2010
written by Cristina

Ok, quick pictures. Please forgive the not such great shots, I had to seas the opportunity when my kids were peaceful. This is the Haze Alpine Pullover in a size 8 and my first impression is that I like it a lot…but not as much as last years Spirit Pullover. It’s made of the exact same tech fleece which feels kind of like a very short piled fleece but I don’t know technically what the difference is with Tech Fleece and Fuzzy Fleece.

Hustle Pants

You may not love the idea of the Kangaroo pouch and what it does to mummy tummy but what I like about it is that the ipod pocket is inside there which makes for easy ipod access and less chance of it falling out and onto the ground. For me this pocket will be used for my stop watch which currently gets tucked into my bra.

Disappointed that there is not more reflectivity on this. Basically it’s just the strip on the back pocket and on the front diagonal zipper.

Love the neck, love the ruched (running luon?) in heathered haze

Would have liked to try on the size 10 but it was already sold in both colors. Poo!

Same style of scuba hood as the Spirit Pullover except the neck comes up higher.
