I’m spending some time this weekend preparing for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale pre sale for cardholders which starts on July 14 and I thought I’d share my wishlist with you. I managed to convince my husband to take a little midweek road trip to Seattle with me so this year I get to shop the sale in person instead of online. I remember last year being on vacation and staying up very late the night before so that I could order online right at midnight and then having the painful wait for my items as they shipped to my PO box in the US while we where on vacation. I need the instant gratification this year.
These images below with my wishlist are from the main Anniversary Sale Catalogue but there is also this top secret designer collection insert that only a few customers get. In it I believe is pair of Stuart Weitzman OTK boots in black, Tom Ford, Dior, Fendi, Burberry and Kate Spade sunglasses, Burberry leather motto jacket and some luxury brand handbags including a gorgeous Alexander Wang bag. I got a card in the mail advertising the Canadian version of the sale which starts when the regular access for the US sale starts. I’m also not sure if this catalogue applies to the Canadian stores inventory or if there are fewer items.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 Designer Catalogue Insert
The #1 item on my wish list are the Rag And Bone fringe booties on the left, and also on the model on the right. They are pretty pricey (especially with the exchange rate, but still way cheaper than in Canada) so this is actually the only thing on my wish list. If I purchase these boots, I cannot get the other items I like from the sale. If these boots are a bust in person though, then I will proceed to the rest of my wish list. 😉
You may remember that last year I got a very similar pair of Rag And Bone booties. They were my very first R&B but they were not my first choice in style – I got them because they where significantly cheaper than my first choice thanks to the sale. It turns out that the Margot bootie is actually much more flattering on me and the distressed leather made them very edgy and weather resistant. I wore those boots all fall, winter and spring and I just adore them so I think I want to get these ones. My only concern is that this years version is sued and I live in rainy Vancouver so that may be problematic. I’m a size 9 in shoes and I ended up ordering the size 40. I think I could have done the size 39.9 instead but I didn’t have the luxury of trying on sizes. The 40 is roomy without being too big .
The Mackage coat on the right is just gorgeous. I love Mackage coats but they are so fricken pricey. This coat is more on my ‘admiring’ list than on my wish list since I think even if I pass on the boots I will have to pass on this coat as well. But I definitely, definitely want to try it on.
Last year I got a pair of Hudson Jeans in black, and also a pair of camo hudson jeans. I love both of them and wear them a ton. From what I remember, the Rag And Bone Jeans didn’t fit me as well (really big and unflattering) and I also find them pretty pricey even at the sale price. The Hudson and Page Jeans though are great prices – around $80 from what I remember.
I love my Uggs Slippers but they are so trashed. Beyond trashed. They got really dirty so I threw them in the wash one year and the inner liner got totally warped and matted and the outer suede faded. I keep looking at new ones to replace them but I haven’t liked any that I’ve seen on sale since last year. These grey knit ones I do love though so if I haven’t spent my money and I’m wandering the store looking for sale item to buy, it will probably be these slippers. I don’t really do Ugg boots for outside wear but I love Ugg slippers.
AGL Ballet Flats. My ballet flat collection is way, way out of control so I’m ridiculous for even considering these but I really like the cap toe studs. AGL is a really well made ballet flat.
Since being bra fitted at Nordstrom earlier in the Spring, I’ve become addicted to Chantelle Bras. They fit so well, are so comfortable and so sexy. I was really excited to see that there where a few different Chantelle bras on sale and also the underwire sports bra which I’ve really been wanting to try on. I’m also wanting to pick up the Hanky Panky underwear that are on sale since those are my favourite.
I am also a candle addict – my collection of scented candles is mostly made up of Voluspa Candles which are always on sale at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I get mine at Chapters though when they are on sale but I’m happy to see that Nordstrom sells them too. I am curious to smell the Diptique candles though since those are the instagram and blogger favourite. I also want to see what is in that Jo Malone perfume set because I love most of her perfumes. Some I hate, but most of them I love.
Makeup! I can’t really justify makeup but if I could I’d be all over that YSL lip set. I got an oil in tint lip gloss for my birthday and it’s my favourite lip product. When the oil lip gloss wears off, you lips are moisturized and it still leaves color tinted on your lips.
