The Lululemon Upload

May 16, 2017

The Lululemon upload is up! I’m extremely excited that the Essential Tank is back, and back in pretty colors! I snagged both the blue and green earlier today but I may also get the black later tonight if I’m feeling spendy. I’m also really liking both of the new Fast & Free Crops. I have the Fast & Free Crop in black and it’s become my new favourite crop for Crossfit/Oly lifting. It’s so comfortable to wear and it stays up so well for me. This new one in Soundwave Alpine Black is interesting to me, despite the fact that I’m bored of the static black white prints. This one seems to be mostly black, and a calmer static print. I tried on the Pace Perfect Crop earlier today and I really liked it, but of the two I lean more towards the Fast & Free Crop.

I will not buy any LLL top that has been tied up in the product photos if it’s not a tie-up style.

I mostly just can’t believe it’s May and these are the offerings. LLL has seriously jumped the shark.

I was just thinking the same thing. That seems to the go-to move right now on shapeless shirts– tie it up in a front knot. I always think about the 80s when I was little. I liked to wear a big shirt and tie the excess with a scrunchie. I thought it looked so cool. I laugh at those pictures now.

    YUCK. Drab colors, shapeless styles.

A gorgeous pink to go along with the green in the Essential Tank would have been awesome. But we, yet again, get blue. *sigh* The green is nice but it feels overpriced for what it is. People are loving the Essential tank so i’m anticipating not getting on MD but here’s hoping.

So much interest in colors like quicksand and magnum and we haven’t seen another item in them yet-just redundant dark patterns and marginally different navy and deep purple tones. Terrible upload. It really is baffling.

    • merrly says:

I love the quicksand color and didn’t get anything in it. 🙁 I’ve seen that colorway featured in a lot of other non-athletic wear stores.

A few weeks ago, Lululemon posted an Instagram picture with (what looked like) the Two with One Singlet in Quicksand. I’ve been waiting for it to show up, but no luck.

Why do they need to offer every other new bottom style in midnight navy…? Or some version of a black and white pattern? Or every other new tank in a heathered color? Heathered black everything. I actually like that the love tank has been coming out in a few solids but I want some of the more technical fabrics in solid colors. No more heathered greys and blues!!! I don’t know if anyone else has noticed the huge dumps to wmtm over the weekend. On Saturday am there was over 250 items many in random sizes… I was actually lucky enough to get a few old styles with some color.

LLM do you know the difference between Boysenberry and black grape??

    • YS says:

I was wondering the same thing!

    • Mrs. O says:

Boysenberry is in between black grape and black current. I believe boysenberry has more of a wine undertone whereas black grape is a deeper shade of purple. Looking online is hard to tell the difference but if you put the colors side by side you see the progression from black grape to boysenberry to black current. I actually like all three colors.

      Hope that helps.

    • Ali Swanson says:

Ya, I have both. The boysenberry is every so slightly more purple and the black grape (swan) is every so slightly more blue. No need to get both colors in the same pant.

Does anyone know why the summer solstice wrap is so pricey? The fabric seems kind of unremarkable, so I was surprised (and disappointed) to see the price. I know it can be worn multiple ways, but that’s true with a lot of their wraps…..

Lulumum, as an aside, my sun setter bra in dark forest finally arrived today. I ordered a size down because I was concerned about the straps being long and because I am not large busted (34b/c). And I absolutely LOVE it! A bit tough to get on but once it was, the fit was amazing. I felt so supported! I haven’t worked out in it yet, but my first impression is that it is supportive enough for high impact (maybe because I sized down). The high front neckline might bother me a little bit because I’m just not used to having fitted material so close to my neck, but hopefully I’ll get used to it. Thanks again for your review!

OT – are all the little characters next to people’s comments angry? Just gives off a feeling that it’s all negative ???

    • Rise and Shine says:

No, they’re not all angry. But it does seem like the upload is making even the monsters cranky.

But this week I’m not going to let it bother me. The weather is great and I’m wearing vintage Lulu and enjoying life. Money not spent on more workout clothes I don’t really need is not a bad thing.

      • Jennifer says:

I agree Rise and Shine! Although I did get a midnight navy swiftly SS last week. But that was to match the run chase me skirt I bought on eBay in quiet stripes! I have done a ton of shopping this month on eBay picking up vintage Lulu. But then I look at the upload and am extra shocked by the current offering and how far they have fallen. Even with the current basics, I would have picked up swiftlys in black swan, a couple of tanks in quick sand, street to studios in crome and black swan etc. But the offerings just aren’t there…. ( probably a good thing though with my eBay splurging! Lol?)

      • anonymous says:

My comments have the icon/face thing but i’m not picking anything. It’s randomly putting whatever face whenever I comment regardless of what I say. Lol! So i’m not angry but apparently the comment face creator is. Hahaha

Nothing for me this upload! I just got the Fast and Free 7/8 tights on sale at my store. Does anyone love them or dislike them? Thanks. 🙂

  10. Sarah says:

So happy they brought back the essential tanks cos I’ve been stalking ebay for ages with no luck, brought both colors from the US site, didn’t want to wait for them to show up on the NZ one or risk missing out if they didn’t

  11. LULULOVE says:

Could one of you ladies, please help me order some things from the Canadian lululemon site. I live in Europe and the things I want are not available here. I would be very, very grateful for the favor.

  12. merrly says:

Nothing for me this upload. I’m glad though, otherwise I’d be too tempted to buy more I don’t need.

  13. Kat says:

It looks like the mint colour toothpaste is coming back. I saw hotty hot shorts in that colour at my local store in toronto.

  14. Emily says:

Does the essential tank fit like the love tank? I don’t live near a store with it in stock and love the green and black colors but I’m not sure what size to order. I wear a 6 in CRB, swiftly and sculpt but a 4 in the love tank so I’m not sure which size to order the essential tank in.
