Journey Jacket

by Cristina

I ran in to Metrotown today to make a return (leg warmers) and they happened to have one Journey Jacket in a size 8 that was an internet return. I tried it on and LOVED it! So cute. Although when I do end up getting it I’m going to size up one because it is quite fitted. I use an 8 in Strides and find I have enough room but in the Journey the 8 felt snug. I don’t think you sacrifice structure by sizing up one and it wouldn’t look sloppy, you would just get some extra arm room and a tiny bit of length.

I'm undecided about this one… but I didn't try on that one at metro. (I was there too today!) Did you notice the Denim Dance Crops? I got a pair of those… eventhough I have the black already 🙂 Also ordered the vinyasa scarf (striped) but won't arrive till monday. Coquitlam had the vinyasa already, didn't see it at metro though..

@lulumum – do you suggest that if I wear regular size 4, I need to size up for Journey Jacket?

@lulumum – thanks for the suggestion, I will do size up, as I am normally size 4, but C/D cup, so I will get it in size 6. Thanks again.

Haha, no I didn't get the scarf just yet. It's 30 degrees here today and feels more like 36 so a scarf was just not happening today.
Anon 7:42 if you have the chance to try them on try the size up. you would be fine to go with your size but sizing up is a pretty safe gamble if you want some extra room. I haven't gotten one just yet because I'm losing weight so I just hate to have to get a 10 in anything now. I say if you have any concerns about the length or if you have broader shoulders or fuller breasts go one size up.

That was my jacket that I returned! Though I did have returners remorse and ordered it off the website again 😛

@Vicki and lulumum – I would like your opinion about the Journey Jacket for busty women. If I size up, will the sleeves will be longer? I am not normally a fan of short jacket. I am just indecisive here. I love jacket, and usually when I know it's the right one, I will not be like this.

@anon, I am not overly busty (small c) but it has a bit of stretch so I found the 8 to be a perfect fit chest and stomach wise. It does have long sleeves so I wouldnt think you would have a problem with them being super long or super short. I was able to tuck my thumbs in the thumbholes comfortably.

@Vicki- Bahaha, returners remorse. That sounds a lot like me. My DPS's went back and forth from the store to my house (Black V. Coal) I finally settled on the coal ones after 3!!! trips to the store.

Anon 10:15 – I found the size 8 arms on me to be just right and not long on me. Usually every sleeve is super long on me. So if you were to size up one there shouldn't be a huge difference in the arms.
